Description
This road to Fish River Canyon is VERY corrugated and uneven, and at one point it just dropped off suddenly into a ditch - we were driving at dusk and had to veer suddenly to the side. Don’t think it’s been maintained in years! Drive with caution.

Big yellow ROAD CLOSED singn right when you enter from B4.
Road CLOSED
We we told by the locals that this road os now closed for traffic and the detour via D545 (dam road) is the only option.
Report Check-InWhen driving from Aus on the B4, go past the turning for this road (signposted to Fish River Canyon). 12km onwards there is another turning on the right. That is the new C12 road and avoids this terrible old road (which is actually still marked as the C12 on many maps).
The new C12 will still take you to the Canyon (past the Naute Distillery), but on a much better road!
