Report Check-InYou can park overnight either across the street from the visitors center or right in the visitors center lot. Really nice to stay so close to everything in town. Public bathrooms down the street open until 10 once Visitor Center is closed.
Report Check-InWe stayed in the actual parking lot of the visitor centre for quite a few days with no problems at all. There are 5-6 vans staying every night
Report Check-InQuiet, though vehicles drive by all night. only 1 other camper stayed all night like we did. great boondocking site.
Report Check-InWe stayed here for two nights and had no problem. Perfect for some days in Dawson City.
Report Check-InStayed here a week during Covid, no other RVs, very peaceful. 24hr reasonable WiFi (need to get password from the Klondike Visitor Centre upstairs when the main Dawson visitor centre is closed. Liked it here being central to the town and Riverside.
Report Check-InYou can also camp at the Midnight Dome. exeptional views. we saw the northern lights mid-september
Report Check-InStaying our third night tonight in the info center (flat) parking lot. The parking fills up every night. Others stay on Front street nearby.
Mostly vans and truck campers. No trailers or bigger RVs that don’t fit in a parking spot.
We asked inside and they said: « officially not allowed, but openly tolerated if you’re not camping or causing trouble ».
Right in historic downtown, close to all main attractions except dredge #4 and Midnight dome. It is quiet.
Flush toilets and Wifi (with charging station and tables for laptops) inside the info center during opening hours.
Potable water behind info center or at filling station two blocks away (2nd and Duke).
Metered showers at three RV Parks :
Gold Rush (downtown) = $3/6min, Dawson City (2km south) = $2/5min, Bonanza Gold (2km south) = $1/2min.
Laundromat, sani-station, car/rv wash also available at those RV parks. See picture for more info.
No mosquitoes. ;)
Report Check-InIn the visitor center lot and it looks like an RV Park here tonight. Plus a few people sleeping in their cars. Officially, overnight camping/parking is not allowed in the downtown area (according to visitor center staff), but unofficially they allow it in their lot
