Campeggio Obelisco | Established Campground

Large campground that is the only one open year round in Trieste. We were lucky to snag a spot upon arrival in our van, but others were turned away. This is essentially a large trailer park, as a lot of people obviously live here year round in various set ups.
There’s a great view of the city and sea in the parking lot out the front gate, with easy public transportation into the city.

no tents allowed only campervans I have used the place 7 times before but now they are only for campervans. have no idea why they have changed this in the last 5 months.

Hello friends, a wonderful place with very friendly people. The course is situated in the mountains above Trieste with a sensational view. There is a very good bus connection to Trieste, the bus (lines 2 and 4) runs every 10 minutes. Price for the one way trip is 1,60€. The bus stop is 100m away.

The campsite has about 5 pitches on a wooded plateau. Maximum you can get there with a vehicle the size of a Unimog.
Beside the reception there are again approx. 4 places.
There is an excellent local restaurant on the square.

Friendly staff. AMAZING sunset views, just ask where is best view and staff will tell you.
The place is up a massive hill and has a cool forest/woodland vibe which is great, lots of surrounding trees for hammocks etc. Good size pitch space, although all gravel so better suited for vans. We paid €23 for 1 van and 2 adults in early August. Wash facilities were nothing glamorous but do what they’re supposed to! I would recommend!

Amazing campground on a hill in a forest. Great view over Trieste and the sea. 13 Euro for two people with tent.
