We stayed 1 night before walking to quebrada. It is free and hidden from main road. There is some traffic but it is not annoying. Next to watersource but it is not potable according to villagers. I think it is okey from washing the dishes and clothes.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Very nice place to stay the night after visiting Rio Colorado and Bodega Las Nubes. When we were there, no trash and very quiet. Close to a clear river. Not many mosquitos!
Report Check-InLots of trash! Didn’t stay, we suspected it might be a party place due to all the bottles and trash bags that were blown around by the wind.
Report Check-InSuper nice spot in between trees with rocks to sit on. Endless water for washing. Good 4G claro. Stayed 2 days. Quite some traffic over the bridge and through the river.
Report Check-Innos quedamos por una noche, llegamos de noche y a las 5 am llego la policía, solo nos pidieron los datos y nos pidieron irnos temprano en la mañana, el lugar esta bueno y es apartado pero ya esta fichado.
nice spot we arrived in the night (23 hs) and police apeared in de Night (5am) askd for our names and leave us stay for the night. the place is ok but is already checked for police, so its posible they came in the night. its clean and water source should be ok for cleaning, not for drinking.
Calm place good for a night after Finca de las Nubles. ( they close at 7pm !)
Report Check-InWe stayed here both Saturday and Sunday nights during the Serenata Festival going on in Cafayate. Saturday was extremely quiet and we had the place all to ourselves. No police officers came by at any point and there was very little traffic. Sunday it was packed with locals in their vehicles and tents all day. We slept really well both nights though, beautiful views and cooler temperatures. No facilities or signal. Water source is still there. We liked it!
Report Check-InGreat space to park for the night. Under a tree which provides shade in the morning. Little to no traffic at night. However in the AM police will show up (on weekends) to make sure no one drives past to access the waterfalls which are currently closed. They were very friendly and didn’t care about us staying at all. We had a good nights rest. There are also fire pits around the parking place...
Report Check-InNice campsite before or after the walk to the Cascades. There was a lot of traffic on the small road (directly at the campsite) during the day. All people were friendly or just drove by. I fixed a leak in my break system and three cars stopped and asked if I need anything. In the night some cars and motorcycles drove by (maybe 5).
