Description

Nice, paid state park campground. Has limited winter camping and seems pretty nice and popular in summer. The website has good information.

Latest Check-Ins

I came at a weekend and there was nothing available on the Recreation app anymore . I tried a couple of Campgrounds and they were all full. This one has first-come-first-serve spots though which not many people seem to know about cause most of them were still available. It's $35 per night but it's a nice Campground with Amphitheater and they have showers which is a major plus ($1 for three minutes, you can buy tokens right outside the showers).
If you stay here check out the Sugar Pine Point beach around sunset, it's beautiful! The beach belongs to the same state park (so you won't have to pay for parking there) and it's a bit further down the road.

Nice state park campground at Sugar Pine Point State Park. When we were here there were a 17 sites open and plowed for the winter, first come first served. Toilets and running water are open. There’s a self registration and fee station at the entrance (takes cash or card) and it’s $25/night with a max 7 nights.

We were very glad to find this spot, as there aren’t a lot of options in the area, especially this time of year.

Nice spot. Walk through the woods to the lake shore. Verizon and ATT great for voice, usually fast data, occasionally nothing. Was able to telework here, but sometimes needed to rely on voice calling into video conferences.

Fantastic place. Best of all there are available sites when everything else I e tried for a week are always full. Couple hundred sites, quite private and wooded, nice trails, showers and beR boxes and fire pits.

I hate campsites, but this one was very nice. Most of the campsites are well-spaced from each other. Clean, flush toilets, 4G works well, firewood for sale. Screaming children are the only bad part of the experience.
