Description

Not easy to find camping on this road in the NF! This was the only pullout we were able to find and we tried a lot of side roads. Nice spot, the road to get up here is a little rough (decently level dirt road, no high clearance necessary but 4wd would help because it gets steep) but it's secluded with a fire ring. Not a huge spot so probably not ideal for big rigs. Minutes from a developed campground. No amenities.

Good cul-de-sac camp ground. Some trails to hike. Fire ring in the center. Some shotgun shells on the ground. Bring your own wood or bring a saw/ax/hatchet.

Great secluded spot! Want to clarify that this spot is a not a ‘turn out’ on the forest road, rather at the end of an actual turn off onto an smaller dirt road (a little bumpy but most cars should ok, it’s not too long). The spot itself is a circular clearing, pretty big. Fire ring and lots of wood and a chopping stump. Many mosquitos. There are many actual ‘turn outs’ along these forest roads so other options exist if this spot (or the one by the river that also has been marked) are taken. Would recommend.

didn't stay the night here, I continued to the 2870 overlook instead, but I just wanted to update this locations inaccurate GPS coordinates. it's a nice secluded site perpendicular to the road
