We stayed a couple of places in the Penticton area and this was our favourite. Crown land - not too far on the logging Road so 2wd accessible. Felt safe. About 35mins from Skaha if you're climbing everyday. No toilets but walk far into the forest and bring a trowel!
But bears do frequent this area so all food and scented items must be in a locked vehicle at night! on thanksgiving weekend a group of women tenting just left food out all night.... come on people. not safe for your neighbours or the bears!

Report Check-In

nice spot. some garbage around left from previous camper noticeable but overall quiet and cleanish. nice view to the lake and some shades area. previous comments talks about lots of bears, when we drove it one tents looked like it's been gone through by one during the day :s I sleep in a converted truck so I feel safe overall

Stayed a couple of nights; this spot has beautiful glimpses through the trees of the lake below. Close to Pentiction and the town of Naramata, we frequented Manitou park while staying here, (9 minute drive down the hill.)
Unfortunately, there was garbage, some broken glass and smell of humans (with no amenities or pit toilets around.)
But the Arawana trail (just down the road) down to the ravine/waterfalls is a must see!
Spotty cell service.

Report Check-In

Nice spot, quiet, accessible with a 2wd. We had mouse running all the night on the car.

Report Check-In

Stayed for a few nights. Steep dirt road up, but in pretty good condition. Lots of traffic through the day for construction/logging/heading to the mountain bike trails. But not too noisy from that. Spots are nice and peaceful, pretty spread apart. No cell service in my spot, have to walk around the grounds for a weak signal. Access to the Naramata creek and a smaller crevice waterfall nearby through the steep forest trails down. Nice and shady and cool.

Report Check-In

Great spot! Plenty of space. There were some people (tents and RVs) and some more arrived later.
Nearby beautiful Naramata and very quiet! Although it was the weekend so no noise from the construction site.

Report Check-In

Nice large flat spot in the forest. Nesr the city of Penticton. We stayed there 4-5 nights its a really nice spot. Saw a small black bear once. Also beware, people go on the other side of the road to do their business and they do not bury it. My dog took a bite -.-

Report Check-In

Nice place to camp! Stayed for a night and had maybe 10 other campers, all pretty quiet!

Report Check-In

Access still possible. Campers in tents present.

Major dwelling project at the beginning of the gravel road.

Beware of huge trucks and equipments in operation during week days.

See photos.

Report Check-In

As described large area with fire pits. 5 other vans/cars present on weekday but plenty of space. Quiet overnight but trucks and nearby construction start early. Great views. Black bear seen in campsite. Only 1 bar LTE with Bell.

One bear last night, 2 this morning… I wouldn’t stay in a tent here

We slept 2 nights, it was full but quiet. You can do fire, there’s many firepits. It’s very nice place to camp!

Report Check-In

We enjoyed this spot. Didn’t find the road too bad.. especially because you’re not on it for very long before you arrive. Very much feels like your at a campground. Was serval other vans, RVs and people tenting.

Report Check-In

Good spot as others have said. Steep clim up here (my 90’s class A didn’t like it at all) lol was quiet. Decent cell signal with bell/Telus.

Report Check-In

Good spot with beautiful view. The road is okay, few campers with us this night. Not really flat but it works.

Beatiful view on the okanagan lake!
Great acess to wild stream with smal pools juste big enough to swim!

Report Check-In

nice spot, easily accessible. quite a lot of people. please take out out your trash and don't park on the mtb trail!

Report Check-In

Pretty nice place, our favorite around Penticton, a lot of space. Be bear aware, when we arrived yesterday there was a black bear in the next camping spot going through tents and stuff people left there for the day. Anything you cook in or with should be stored and sented stuff too.

Report Check-In

Pretty decent location. Definitely enough room for trailers, especially if you can park in a campground this should be no problem. Our trailer is fairly small but I’ve seen smaller spots in campsites. Only issue I have with this location is the lack of respect from people leaving their garbage everywhere. We’re going to loose these awesome spots if people continue to litter. If you happen to stay please remember to pack out what you packed in.
Also don’t leave anything out overnight, black bears all around. We’ve been here for 3 nights and a total of 4 bears.

Report Check-In

Great place, lots of space with a view of the lake peeking through the trees.
Road is gravel for 2km and a little washboard but is okay for every kind of vehicle.
Cant miss the place, not far past the cattle guard on the left hand side

Report Check-In

Great spot, easy access, lot of space and fire pits in the wood, nice views, quiet night, a lot of overlanders (...but no bears today). Recommended!

Report Check-In

Great spot with inspiring view. Watched a small black bear clean up our neighbors dishes, so the bear warning is real.

Report Check-In

Basic place to park in the woods....quiet, flat, dark, and free. Some trash strewn about but it didn’t take long to pick up.

Report Check-In

Quiet when we were here. Parked our Westy on the edge of the cliff, looking between the trees we enjoyed a great sunset over Okanagan lake.
