We left the road toll gate at night, 3h of discussion reduced the price from 100.000 CF to 24.000CF (= 15$).
The night duty guy (yes, they check days and night) helped us to find the perfect bivouac for this location: The catholic church only 100m away (turn left just after the gate, and then right up to the hill.). We were welcomed there by father Thomas, a very king and welcoming person. The night was super quiet, and the morning will wake you up with the bells and the songs coming from the church.
Nevertheless, in the morning, a policeman from ANR (the local FBI) came to ask us to come to his office, as yesterday night, he hadn't check well enough our passeports ... There, we became the hostaged-guests of DGM office who decided to photocopy all the pages of the 5 passeports (we are traveling for 4 years ... ) in 4 copies with probably the slowest copy machine of the world ... Indeed it took 3h for the whole ...
At least, none of them asked for money or anything else.
