the tubs are gone. 😞
a beautiful spot to overnight, tho a little out of the way. I probably would have stayed at the rest stop on 140 about 10 miles east of the big creek rd turn off if I had known the was no way to soak. even so, it was a peaceful night.

I stayed the night here, but the tubs had been removed. I don't know if this is a temporary or a permanent thing. Still made for a beautiful camping spot. Some high school kids came by with rifles to shoot bullfrogs, which made the evening a little more interesting. They offered me Coors Light and frog legs. The locals are very generous

Report Check-In

Beware of the bitting chiggers. They make their way into the tubs. Also the local ranchers were rather un-inviting when we were there. It was unpleasant. I wouldn’t recommend coming here.

Very quiet, easy to find with the below comments... The flow in the pipe seems to be minimal and it takes a while to fill up one tub, by the time it has cooled down to barely lukewarm. The view is spectacular though. Full cell service.

oh my gosh what a beautiful place. agree that it needs to stay off of social media. water was probably around 120* so we just filled it up and gave it about 20 minutes to cool off. We two brand new plugs. also: found a pair of seeing eyeglasses. looks like they fell off someone's head behind the tubs. put them on the "beer holder board" in a Ziploc so hopefully keep them protected until the owner finds them.

do not follow Google maps!
From the 140hwy, go west on Dufurrena/Big Creek Rd. follow all the way to the mountain and take a left. that will turn into Woodward. you will follow the mountain a couple miles and it will be on your left hand side. what a beautiful place!

we visited and brought a large RV + truck + trailer and fit comfortably with room to spare. small fire pit. tubs were clean other than algae and easy to brush off and refill. no people, cows come close to the campsite area and drink from the pond the hot springs feed into.

please don't share on social media as others said. very special private spot!

Report Check-In

What a absolutely gorgeous spot. The road in is easier than your gravel driveway, just 11 miles long. Not a soul around except us on a Saturday arriving at 5pm. Like others, one to keep off social… Except this place is so remote you will be hard pressed to have anyone else there.

Easily one of the most beautiful and desolate camping spots we have ever stayed at. Sunset was incredible and we soaked in the tubs under the stars fir a few hours. Not a sound, not a car, not a person for miles. I would encourage anyone who stays here NOT to share it's location on social media. This is an unspoiled gem that doesn't need to be overrun with people!

Stayed for one night. Surprisingly no one else around Friday of the long weekend. 4 tubs but 3 are the best for soaking; the oldest one is the nicest; this is also the only one with a plug. Tub filling mechanism could use some TLC. We had rain overnight but surprisingly not windy. Be sure to follow the noted directions rather than google maps directly. Bullfrogs and goldfish in the warm pond below the spring.

Really cool place! 4 bath tubs that can all be adjusted and filled using soft balls, or one has an actual plug. Cows freely roaming around and there is a fun pond where frogs and cute little goldfish swim and croak. I was alone here and it was so quiet. Check out the images for the google maps route!

The drive into this spot is 10/10. The gravel road is flat and maintained, but it still takes about 20 minutes from the highway. Keep an eye out for large birds on the power lines preying on the prairie dogs! Not sure if this is on private land or not.. there aren't signs and no one but some cows came by. The spot and soak were completely worth the drive!

Report Check-In

Dispersed camping room for 3 or 4. 2 Old bathtubs and 2 new not yet installed. A pond with rushes and croaking frogs for the cattle that walk by. A riding cowlady was driving them the first morning. The temperature in the hot tubs can be adjusted by moving the plastic pipe in or out of the tubs. I stayed two nights and had one other camper each night. An occasional truck drove by. It was very quiet. Free. It may be privately owned or leased ranch land. There are no signs.

Very scenic and private spot. Turn west off of NV 140 on Dufurenna rd (AKA Big Creek RD according to sinage??), go 6.5 miles then south on Woodward Rd for about 4 miles (past ranch) to the hot springs on the left. Very nice, but dusty gravel rd. Good parking for 2, maybe 3 vehicles. The negatives are...the water is scalding hot and too hot for bathing IMHO and the parking area is like moon dust and will get into everything. We were the only ones there that night.

DON'T FOLLOW THE SUGGESTED ROUTE ON GOOGLE MAPS THAT TAKES YOU THROUGH OVERGROWN TRUCK / ATV TRAILS!! You should be able to follow very nice easily marked gravel roads the whole time, past some houses, etc. If you are following a route that takes you off-roading, turn around!

Awesome place to spend an evening. There are a couple fire pits as well as four tubs to soak in. You pass by private land on your way in with animals so please be respectful and drive slow as you’re not kick up dust.

Enter from 140 on dufurrena rd. Beautiful view of the valley at sundown.

Still a nice place, very remote, quiet, good for stargazing. Cell coverage with T-Mobile. Come in by Woodward Road - don't try the "direct" access.
