Latest Check-Ins

Spent 2 nights here, until 21-22h there’s a lot of movement (your in the center of the village) then its dead quiet. Don’t park just in front of banrural, they don’t allow it due to security reasons, just park a couple of meters before and you’ll be fine. If you’re there the night before the market days either park somewhere else or be prepared to have a noisy night (they start at 3-4am) and then being awake by bus drivers at 6am because that is where buses park on market days

Report Check-In

Spent one night here, many curious people but it was all good. It's in front of the police (one of them didn't look very official and he asked for a "propina" for looking after our rig but I told him if we'd be willing to pay for sleeping we wouldn't be here but at a campground, he didn't insist) who manage the local public toilets (1 quetzal per person) right behind Banrural which also have showers (didn't try it). Collectivo to Semuc C (wait for them in front of 24/7 farmacia) cost us 15Q per adult and 10Q per child (2&4yo) on the way to Semuc and 20Q per adult on the way back but kids didn't pay.

We slept there without a problem, its right in front of the municipal police station. Lots of curious kids, quite noisy during the day, but gets calm at night. We took a collectivo from there to go to Semuc Champey, 25Qtz/pp.

Good, free spot. Stayed two nights with no issues, locals very chilled & friendly.

On the first morning we were woken by a very apologetic police man who asked us to move from the square to the Banrural road (50meters). I think for the market. So park just down from banrural & you’ll be fine.

One of the shops on the street does a 1Q coffee. Enjoy!
