Description

Punta Los Muertos. No Restaurants, no grocery, no shops, no Telcel Signal nearby! Beautiful white beach and blue water. The last 2 miles are dirt road. If you like to stay directly beside the water high clearance for the last few meters recommended. Good for swimming and snorkeling. Signs showing the way to the beach. Weekend (when we where here in July) busy, quiet during the week.

We tried all three of these locations down here in a truck and trailer. Definitely not doable. I think a brave driver in a truck camper or hardy van is the max I would even attempt to bring down here. Soft sand on an incline. Gorgeous, secluded beaches though we turned around shortly after the road ended due to road conditions.

nice spot here for a few days just chilling a bit of trash around and a few fires ring's

Tried to get here and couldn’t after the hurricane some two weeks ago. Road gone at one spot. Only doable for serious overlander vehicle.
We’re going basically everywhere and can even drive on the beach with our rig as well as have 4x4 but didn’t even dare to try.

Will need to give them some weeks to work on the road I guess…

unless you are prepared with good recovery gear and 4wd, you will probably get stuck with no one around to get you out.

Fabulous beach. Great snorkeling. Easy access. Stayed a few days.

Take the verry left road, it's in good condition and even possible to drive without 4x4. The beach is absolutly beautiful but very lonely.

Was able to get down to beach in our 2wd Vanagon, but I’ve been driving a Jeep for years so I felt comfortable traversing the last few meters. Just walk it first to find a path and go slow to not bottom out.
We parked camped where the high part of the beach meets the tongues of depositional material coming down the mountain. The sand is fairly compact along this section making for a well traveled path.
A few trash cans exist but apparently people still are too lazy to use them, or don’t understand their purpose.
We had rain and sunshine over 4 days here. At times the surf was white capped with nearly 3 foot waves that would slam you into the sand since they break near shoreline. Other times it was classic Gulf conditions... gorgeous and not a problem for paddle boards and snorkeling.
We stayed during week and it was very quiet. However, we were aware of post at nearby camp that had theft and I’ll say I feel we saw one black Ford Explorer with 3 young male occupants that did a drive by in mid-afternoon (thieves don’t come out in the morning;). So keep your guard up since this beach is an easy drive from a heavily populated area.
Please clean your stuff up and be good stewards.
