Still open. Free. Donation based! Really nice spot to pull off for the night. We have a 25 ft. Travel trailer that we hooked up to electric.
There are electric & water hookups.
No other campers were there. We werent bothered by anyone, the trains didnt keep us up all night either. We felt safe in the area. Aurora is a cute small town and the people were friendly at the gas station.
Nice place for the dogs to get out and stretch their legs too!

This place was just amazing on a very cold night. Got to plug into electric hookups and stay toasty all for the price of a donation of your choice. Happily left a donation as I hope most do. Water at sites and bathrooms were shut off and closed (for winter I assume). Free Wi-Fi as well, all for free, just wow. Worth mentioning that the Wi-Fi doesn’t quite reach the far sites, I had to move after setting up. Shared the entire park with one other van and a camper, open sites aplenty on this cold winter night.

Report Check-In

Very nice spot. Many others RV with us. Quiet and safe. However the train is loud and pass every 10-15 minutes until midnight.

Report Check-In

Nice one night stay over, spaces are very close together and almost full. Great AT&T and Verizon service. Basic bathroom no shower, however clean. Easy access.

Report Check-In

Nice free camping in a beautiful clean park. Water and electric at sites. Room for big rigs. Pool and showers were closed but bathrooms and dump station open. Nice walking trail. Look for the crane sculpture on the walking path!

Report Check-In

Nice free camping spot with a donation box. Water park hasn’t opened yet but still nice for overnight. The bathroom was open still. Water electric dump. Good att service and nice park for walking the dogs. Place was pretty full but still quiet

Report Check-In

Place is definitely nice. Flushing bathroom, free level camping spots up to 4 days, free water and electric hook up with every spot. The traffic is loud and there is a train but I guess not that bad if u have ear plugs

Report Check-In

Great little place nice and quiet this time of year I suppose. Very clean. Would recommend for sure.

Report Check-In

Just a straight row of spots with hookups (30a) and water with some picnic tables. Pretty full, but there are still a few spots.

Really awesome for the city to have this here, I’m grateful for a free spot to stay while on the move!

Report Check-In

Not well-suited for tent camping, but it works in a pinch. The sites near the back are the best spots for a tent, and those spots also seem to be the most desirable to those parking a van or RV.

Road and train noise.

Can't complain for the price!

Report Check-In

Cute little campground nestled into a city park. You can hear road noise and kids at the pool on the premises but honestly a great location if you just need somewhere to sleep. The spaces do have gravel and a picnic table, with electric and water hookups nearby

Report Check-In

WONDERFUL spot! Pulled in around 7pm on a Wednesday and there were still several spots open. Police patrolled through around 8:30pm and waved. The sign does say that if the hook up spots are full, you can park on the other road or near the pool entrance. Slept in my car, so I did hear the trains a couple times. Bathrooms were open and close by and so was coffee in the morning (walking distance)! Loved and will stay again if I pass back through this way!

Report Check-In

As described! Wonderful. A bit crowded on this very nice weather weekend but a great spot!

Report Check-In

stayed 1 night, pulled in around 8:30PM and left the following morning. quiet, with the exception of the train. good spot for just trying to catch some sleep.

Report Check-In

Still free (donation based) & still awesome! Second time staying here and first time in the late spring/early summer. I got one of the last spots pulling in around 6 pm on a Monday.

Report Check-In

Amazing spot for a few days with bathrooms, free electric, nice walking trails and a downtown area not too far.

Report Check-In

Another great stay. Camp is in a park near the business district with restaurants and convenience stores an easy walk

Report Check-In

10/10 place to stop. Free spots for up to 4 days, free electric hook up, free dump station right next to the bathrooms! Located right behind the water park (which might be free too!!) Will absolutely be back!!

Report Check-In

Great spot. Safe. Lights were nice. Bathroom. Free WiFi from city. I’ll be back.

Report Check-In

Probably one of the best free spots when passing through Nebraska. You can stay up to 4 nights free but donations highly suggested. Water, WiFi, toilets, and a couple of pull through spots. Mixed between camper vans and RVs. Some noise but very convenient to local stores and gas.

Report Check-In

I've seen others review for vehicle camping. we used a tent. If you're in a standard sized tent, this is a good layover spot on your way through Nebraska for you too. We got here at about 7:30pm on a Saturday and only 5 other spots had people.

Cute, clean, quiet and free electric 💕💕💕

Report Check-In

Stayed here 1 night while driving from Denver to Chicago in our van. What a great, free find. Level RV spots each have water, electric, and a picnic table. Free dump station, dumpster, and bathroom by the playground. All was very clean and well kept. You can stay up to 4 nights. Arrive about 7:45pm on a Friday night in late March and there were plenty of spots- just 2-3 large RVs together at the end of the campground.

Just like everyone said great place to stay in a wonderful town would come back

Report Check-In

As advertised! Looks like a great spot to stop on the way across I-80

Report Check-In

very clean spot with lots of level pads right next to each other with picnic tables. Nice easy stop for the night, but the train nearby going past at least once an hour is pretty rough. nothing fancy, does the job.

Report Check-In

Beautiful park with lots of trees and open space to play games. Playground for young children and a water park too, $3 for children $4 for adults. It really is free (up to 4 days) and really has electric, 18 spots but only five taken when I was there.so greatful for my air conditioning in this summer heat and I can recharge my fan batteries and laptop! Haven’t heard the train and might not with the air conditioner running. Yes, free dump station and this place is very clean.

Report Check-In

Nice sites, probably about a dozen spots for vehicles. Not much privacy between stores but reasonably private from the road. Short drive from the interstate and plenty of gas stations along the way.

It was near some train tracks and a train came through during the evening waking us up. This time of year and we had the place to ourselves.

3/5... Fine place if you're simply looking to make some dinner and catch some Z's.

Report Check-In

It’s a free campground! Each site is pretty level and has water and electric hookups. There is also free WiFi, but it is slow depending on how you’re positioned. There are train noises at night, but it isn’t super loud. It’s a very peaceful setting in a city park, feels safe. What more can you ask for free?

Report Check-In

Free RV park, little noisy with train and trucks going by. But we slept well. Stayed one night. Maximum stay 4 nights.

Report Check-In

Great free campground as others have noted. Only issue is there are trains (and horns) all night long. Showers are $2. Swimming is $4. Dump is free

Report Check-In

Great little spot. The showers are closed because they are with the pool and water games. Otherwise, nice quiet and free!!

Report Check-In

Free! 15 sites with electricity, water, tables. Flush toilets, dump station and rubbish bins. Trees for shelter. On the edge of the town Aurora, Nebraska. There is even free wifi ! Maximum stay 4 days. Donations accepted.
