Description
It is right after the second RV parking lot, before Beach Break. José Juan runs the place and he is a great person. He is trying to make it into an eco friendly camping ground. As of now he has a hose for showers, and basic electricity.
He might be out during the day, but he is back every night. We helped him clean and collect trash from the area, if you can, give him a little assistance. We didn’t have to pay, but as he develops the campground you might have to pay a small fee. It is a beach front location and far enough from the restaurants to be quiet, but within walking distance. WARNING! DO NOT STAY HERE. Unfortunately the prior commet is false. We stayed with Juan for one night and quickly found out from the neighbours that Juan did not own this property. He is squatting the property and the owner is letting him stay in a small jack to help him out as he has had some troubles in the past. Us staying there caused the neighbouring campground owner to call the real owner to come and ask us to leave. They came late to ask us to leave but allowed us to stay the night as it was too late to move on. Stone island is a killer place to visit! Just not on this property.
