Description

Rest area on the 101 Highway. Free. Space for around 10 cars and some longer rigs on the side. Clean toilets, picnic area with some shade and also pet area. Poor cell service. We stayed for one night on a Saturday, it was pretty busy. Might not be possible to get a spot if you pull over too late (there were some RVs and vans spending the night). We found this place better than the one marked on iOverlander a few kilometers further South, which is just a strip of land on the side of the Highway.

Latest Check-Ins

Northbound open as of 1/7/24!
Southbound still closed. North has about 20 auto parking spots, but I didn’t see any designated areas for RVs. Semis took up all of the areas along the turnoff, then blocked parking spaces when they ran out of room. (See photo)
Not an award winning rest area but clean and quiet enough for me. Had a peaceful night.

Good spot for one night. Bathrooms are gross but they work. Pulled in at 8 with lots of road traffic. By the time I went to sleep at 10 there were 2 other campers. Woke up for 2 more and 2 trucks. Decent quiet sleep.

Report Check-In

Stayed here one night no problem.

We were the only ones camped out apart from one trucker. Carpark was busy throughout the night with people coming and going.

Noisy from highway. Use earplugs.

Toilets were as you would expect.

Lots of recycling and rubbish bins.

Served its purpose but not a place you want to be hanging out at

Nice rest stop. Very busy with people sleeping in the cars. Says 8 hour maximum but noone check on anyone. Felt nice and safe and was reasonably quiet.
