Beautiful spot beyond even my expectations, suggested the visit by locals at Ida Lake & very glad I made the visit - topped San Josef for sure and proved a beaut spot for sunset shrooms

Great place as said before. Wear rubber boots and rain gear in the off season as it is very muddy and wet.But worth doing the hike to the beach.

A beautiful beach but a rough and extremely muddy hike to get there, less than 2km took us around an hour, jumping roots and climbing over fallen trees trees. Might not be so soggy in the summer, but go prepared with good waterproof boots. Worth the effort when you get there. Oh, and we confirm what the previous poster said about Rangers... we met one mid-way on the trail, even well out of season, so stick to the rules and take all your rubbish away with you.

Stayed here a few times over the years and it's one of my favorite camping spots hands down. There's plenty of spots to camp long the beach and barely anyone else is there. Great spot for surfing (though you have to hike in your board and the current is fairly strong). Well worth the hike in in my opinion. There are open walled toilets and bear boxes as well. Oh and just bevause it seems very remote don't think the rangers aren't there! I've seen rangers every time I've gone. Lovely people, just make sure you register your liscence plate online if you're staying at the beach

Just a gravel parking lot but the 30 minute walk to the beach is well worth it. Excellent tent camping possibilities on the beach!
