Anand is a very nice guy, he understands overlanders and that we have limited budget.
He's use to work on old, fragile and European cars. He's not the cheapest but a good job is done and he doesn't push you to do unnecessary/not mandatory things!
Best mechanic and equipments we had so far in India.
Also you can stay the night there in your car. A toilet is available and there is guard at the entrance.
Avoid at all cost.
We went here with a busted shock absorber, Annand "fixed" it for us, they also added some new springleaves in the front but didn't assemble them correct. The u-bolts they used were to thin and the nuts weren't lock nuts but little did we know then. In udaipur we got in a big accident on the highway: one of the nuts came loose and snapped the u-bolts. We were lucky we weren't going fast but it could have been way worse.
Yes Annand was a nice guy, he let us stay there, use the bathroom, we drank coffee everyday for a week. When I called him to tell him about the accident he was very sorry for us and promised to pay for our damages. But its been six months now and we haven't heard from him ever again and he hasn't payed yet.
Really disappointed in him. Do not go here, they don't deserve our business.
Very nice people! We went there with our T4 and a problem with the radiator. They disassembled it, cleaned it, removed the rust from the fans, gave us new fuses and made a full service on the car (inspection, oil and filter change) for 12000 rupees (125€). Fair price, good people! They are a multibrand workshop with a focus on European cars!
Ah, and they let us stay at the workshop the whole time! So guarded Parking, 24/7 toilet for free.
