This was the second time we’d stayed here - the first was about 5 years ago. As everyone has said, friendly, helpful staff, we were able to get our bicycles in easily (many MVD hotels are up steep stairs). Cheap, cash only. However, this time the hostel seemed to be very full, and many folk appeared to be staying long term; sadly, the facilities are not coping, and there seems to be little investment. We were not able to access the kitchen due to the volume of people. We bailed after one night, despite having paid for two...

Really friendly staff who let me put the moto inside the hostel. The entrance is wide enough for fully loaded big bikes but you have to get up a few big steps.

Really cheap for Montevideo, 11US/night for a 6 dorm. Clean and friendly staff. They have a patio to store the bike but because it was raining they let me store mine in the hallway under cover. Good location to go explore the city.
