A lovely spot to camp in the shade of the trees. Fire ring, fairly easy to get level, too. 3bar LTE service.

There is no potable water here. This is wild camping. There are pit toilets and bear proof trash containers at the USFS campground a bit up the road. Very nice place, well kept. $7.00 per night.
Report Check-InActually on the left of the manzano park entrance road going towards Red canyon and if you keep forward it takes you to a camping ground ! I stayed over for the night super nice, lots of cars passing but did not bother at all , there is plenty of space and also some primitive fire pit, plus internet signal! Main reason why I’ve decided to stay
Report Check-InArrived at Manzano Mountains State Park, coming from Valley of the Fires. Beautiful forest at 7,214 ft, it gets cold here even at end of May, woke up to 39f. Nice shaded campsites, but park gets pretty full even during weekdays. Several trails to explore around the park.
