Description

Camping on the farm in an olive grove with views of the hills and town below. Grape vines, horses, chickens, goats, dogs, etc. Friendly Francesco has his wine and olive oil for sale and will cook a great Tuscan dinner, shared over a long outdoor table with other guests and friends. Stayed one night with motorcycle and tent and with the dinner, served at 8:00 and Includes wine, was charged 24€. Worth every penny!

Water, toilet, shower is basic but fine. Walk to train for Florence, Pisa or Sienna. *Very steep hill* 20% grade.

It's peaceful, free and an authentic Tuscan experience... so please support Francesco by having dinner or purchasing something.

Push button on main gate to open. If he's not at the farmhouse, just continue past and to the right to park under the olives on flat ground.

Update!: I stayed one night with my motorcycle and tent, prticipated in the dinner(includes wine!) at 8:00, was charged 24€ for the night(dinner included). I also purchased one bottle of wine and one bottle of olive oil. Total ended up around 48€ for staying the night and buying the products. Gladly payed an even 50€..
if you want a great tuscan experience in a beautiful vineyard, this is a great place. 2 friendly horses and 2 friendly dogs around to welcome you. There was around 4 campervans here at the time so we had a great dinner together. The gate at the entry is closed, loog up the place on google maps and call the phone number to the hotel on there, a lady will answer and you should explain what you have found here about camping etc, she will give you the code for the gate and you can enter.

We were able to stay for 2 nights with our campervan (Mercedes sprinter) in the midst of grapevine hills. We didn't have to pay per night, but were asked to either participate at dinner cooked by the owner family (20€pp incl exceptional chianti wine, must try!) or buy olive oil/wine. Bathroom with hot shower was fine and included. We were very thankful to have found this place!
