I would recommend 4x4 when it’s close to the rainy season. We came here end of April and the street was not in good condition and slippery. We stayed overnight aswell with no problem after talking to the caretaker, who is very friendly.

Well worth the trip up, there are about 5 falls and numerous pools to swim in. There is one flat spot right outside the gate and they allowed us to camp there free of charge. Woke up and explored the waterfalls when it opened at 8:00, we had it all to ourselves. The road had some pretty deep ruts in it.

even with it pouring rain we were still able to get in and out of this area in 2wd but it has a couple of step sections. price was 2 dollars per person and included a tour that he let us take our dogs on. there are showers and a bathroom here. not much room here to camp, and the parking area is in the road but I'm sure you stay if you asked.

Not free (they say never was free) but it costs 1usd p/p only and worth it pay to meet this beautiful place and swim in the pools, the water temperature is optimal.

No es gratis (ellos dicen que nunca lo fue) pero tan sólo cobran 1usd p/p y vale la pena pagar para conocer este hermoso lugar y nadar en las piletas. La temperatura del agua es óptima.

The best waterfalls and pools in Panama (free). You can easily climb from one pool to the next (5)!
The water is cool but not too cold. Come early or at noon to catch the sun...
