Free beach parking, washrooms, and showers. I stayed here 4 nights despite the “no overnight” signs on the benches.

Very beautiful spot along the ocean with park benches, picnic tables, pop up library book swap boxes, seals and public washrooms. There are also change rooms and public showers but they are only open from June 1 to October 1. There is also a stand alone cold water shower a few meters away with a water spigot as well. There is open wifi with ShawGo here. No overnight camping or parking along this spot, but it’s still an amazing place to spend the day!

Edit: We had a Karen come and give us trouble for being there for three days because she said we weren’t allowed to stay there overnight (which we didn’t because signs indicated that you can’t, so we found legal spots out of town and would come park at the beach during the day because there were tons of free spaces) She accused us of staying overnight when we didn’t and said she was calling bylaw...(Which she never did). It was very odd. We go out of our way to be extremely respectful to locals wherever we go, so it was a little frustrating to have someone give us trouble for no reason.

Season for showers only from June to October. But the toilets are open from 7am to 7pm.

Stayed Sunday night. Arrived just after 9pm after stopping at Qualicum Grocery store just before they closed at 9pm. Signs up but no issues and lots of people parked, sleeping in cars and RVs. Very quite. Very nice bathroom and separate shower room with warm to hot water, open 7am-9pm summer hours.
