Something not right?

Description

There's a town run hot springs here. They let us park our rig but we saw folks with tents setup as well. There's a number of warm, not really hot pools and the river. Really delightful. Cost 5 soles per person to get in and that included overnighting if you want. There was a small cafe / snack bar, showers, and toilets.

They have restrooms, shower and dressing rooms.
They also have a small camping area and a restaurant.
The entrance fee Is 8 soles. there Is no charge for the camping area.
the entrance Is the main road and it Is mark. the road Is not pavet. Easy but take care

Very unique place. Off Hwy 3S there are two 4 km switchbacks down: one mostly paved (entrance under the blue/white Cconac sign), and a steeper non-paved road. Pools located in a beautiful valley next to the Apurimac river. Costed 8 soles (US $2) to enter, included camping. There are different areas to camp (tent or vehicle) stay away from the main areas to avoid the noise at night. 6 pools fed by a clear fast flowing high volume spring, pools are very clean. Water is not hot, lukewarm, top 2 pools seem a little warmer. Clean bathrooms, convenience store, great outdoor restaurant surrounded by plantain and avocado trees, small hostal, wifi for a small fee.

Report Check-In

No need to drive down the switchback dirt road to the baths. No private showers, public toilet smelly and dirty like everywhere and the water didn't seem clear. We went to the next really nice camping and supported a school project.

This is a great spot. The pools were very clean, they clean the whole place every morning. Really good food, very cheap (dinner & drinks for two for 12 soles) in the restaurant across the small bridge. Yes, the bathrooms are dirty as always in south america but better than other places we saw. They charged us 5 soles for camping and entry (3 soles) each. Non-negotiable (you get legit entry tickets). Felt safe and we had a quiet night on a friday. One thing, beware how you park your vehicle as it might be used for a shield for peeing men or people getting changed. If you have outside-lights, use them:)

Report Check-In

As described by previous reviewers. Thursday night had mellow locals late into the night/morning. The showers are cold cold cold. I was expecting to shower in the lukewarm water that fed the pools. Nope.

Decent place for an overnight, mainly for the lukewarm thermal springs. was a little difficult to get level for sleeping. 6km of switchback road to get to it.

Report Check-In

The entry is still 5sol pp. Warm water and not hot but perfectly to take a shower after doing the laguna humantay ^^
it's possible to camp for 5sol more.

Down in the valley with pretty views. Only a handful of people (Tuesday night) water lukeishwarm. Not bad at all:)

great place to stay. camp right next to the river. was 5 soles pp for warm springs and 5 soles for camping.
springs are great. can't complain about natural springs temperature.

only problem was random people turning up through the night cranking the tunes with no care for anyone sleeping.
was about 20 degrees overnight. very toasty and unexpected after -5 the night before about 4 hours away

really nice place for overnight : we spent a really quiet night (tuesday night)
water is not hot but warm enough for staying some time in it with young children who dont like hot water.
only bad points : a lot a little biting bugs (very annoying) and the only flat part just near the garbage place (a bit smelly when the sun hits on it)
we recommanded this place which costs 5 soles per adultes (bath + overnight in van

Two bad point: the water is even warm... I don't understand how local people can stay hours in this water (we did several Banos thermales, and this one is not hot at all), and there are people all the night.. don't expect a calm night. (it was Wednesday night for us). 5sol per person. You can eat at the restaurant for 5sol/person if you ask.

Delightful place but the water could be warmer! For quieter, flatter camping ask and park to the left immediately after the entrance/pay station.

Help! It's 11pm and what looked like a quiet Saturday night at 6pm is turning into a massive festival. There are already more than 50 cars and vans ... and more keep pouring in. At 11:30 a small bus pulls in. The noise is not deafening and all the people are well-behaved, but what are they all doing here at this late hour? And where have they all come from? Entrance fee is now S5 p.p.

I come late 8 pm but the place is open. You can go in the therme and you can stay over night. 3 S and gut foot for real price. Toilette not so clean but the therme is clean. Good place.
