Very Secluded, room for several vehicles, easy access to the national park, not to far from some pit toilets. Logging trucks run all night on the main road but it’s not that noisy.
Report Check-InGreat place at the top of the mountain. Low branches for high vans. And might be some mud. There is room for friends so leave space for others. And is in a rounds so you won’t have to back out if you commit to the spot
Report Check-InBeautiful spot but a park ranger came by and said camping is not allowed there.
Report Check-InBeautiful place. Made it with a 2WD with low clearance. Entrance was muddy. No one bothered.
Report Check-InNice small spot tucked into a turn around. Not visible from Main road. Stayed from 6pm-8am with the dog. No one bother us at all.
Report Check-InThe entrance off the main road is really bumpy and muddy, but my little sedan got through several times for my two night stay. It is technically outside of the National Park and owned by logging companies (per the rangers when I mentioned I was staying next to the park in general). A great spot for checking out the Redwoods! There’s quite a bit of room for a few (4-5) tents/ trailers (if they can pass the low branches). Cell service down the road at the outlook.
Report Check-InSo quiet place in the forest, just outside national and state park.
Report Check-InAs described, beautiful and secluded spot under Redwoods, Douglas fir, Cedars, Oaks and Arbutus trees.
Unsure if it's actually just in or outside of the park boundary!
Good spot, but for cars only. Lots of low hanging braches that make it impossible even for a van. Stayed across the street before the gate to Tall Trees road instead, no issues, and no signs, but it is national park property, so not sure it's allowed.
Report Check-InBeautiful, secluded spot just off the main road. Had a fire pit. Space for 3-4 cars to park, also to set up tents. Lots of shade. Bumpy road.
Take Bald Hills Road from the 101. After the Redwood Creek Overlook the Tall Trees Access Road forks off to the right - take the one on the left instead, about 50m, until you get to the turnaround.
