Thank you, Willi, for letting us stay at Club Germania! What a great spot, we spent some very nice days there, met really kind people from the club. Staff very frienfly. Safe parking, security guards 24/7. Hot showers, swimming pool (25m), electricity, bathrooms, restaurants, wifi, potable water. And all for free! All you need is a German passport. Highly recommended!

Report Check-In

We received a very warm welcome from Willy and learnt about the interesting history of this club, celebrating 160 years now. Hat off to Willy that he opens Club Germania to overlanders. We learnt and laughed so much listening to Willy's anecdotes and hearing about the history of Lima and Peru. We were allowed to stay in our roof tent next to the soccer fields. Could make use of the heating 25m pool and facilities as well as enjoying the restaurants. We'll miss this well established club and it's activities. Thank you for having us. We wish you all the best Willy.

As it is only a place for german passport holders i will continue in german:

Report Check-In

Great place! Very safe, quiet night, good location. Wilhelm, the manager, is very welcoming and the staff super friendly.

Report Check-In

We were the first past-pandemian guests, all as described. Entrance from the back, gate next to Entre Las Redes Cevichería (which is nice!). Call before you go there. Very nice stay. At rear parking only cold showers, warm in Central building.

Report Check-In

This is such a nice place! Wilhelm, the managing director speaks Spanish, German and English. His hospitality is amazing. They have an excellent cafe and restaurant at the club. It did feel like an oasis. As commented before it is not a campground so it is very generous to be allowed to stay here. Big thank you to Wilhelm, the team and of course all club members.

Report Check-In

- CLOSED ON SUNDAYS
We arrived on a Sunday late afternoon, no chance to get in because nobody was in the office to copy the passports. On Monday we were told that you never can get in on Sundays! We parked right in front of the gate for the night, guard agreed.
- BiG RIG FRIENDLY?
The next day we only asked for water and the Monday-guard didn’t let us in because we were too big for his task. Meaning, our Iveco Daily would have perfectly fit through the gate, but they didn’t open for us. But, we were lead to another gate for water.
Summary: complicated administration, stuff helpful.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Great place! We called a couple of hours before our arrival. On saturdays you have to arrive until 1pm.

Report Check-In

If you are not a German or has German parents you won't be able to stay here. It's a pity because the place is great for a family like us that has a motorhome. But we found out a good safe place to park the motorhome right outside the entrance of the club. So we used the club to eat and for Wifi but unfortunately not to park or to shower.

Report Check-In

We had been now the second time in the Club Germania, the bathrooms and swimming pool are outstanding and the staff is very nice and helpful. However, the best of this location is, that at the corner of the street there is a very good car workshop callend Kraftwagen, with a huge indoor parking just oposite to the entrance of Club Germania. As we had to leave the Club due to an event, Hugo, the owner of the workshop let us camp with our Unimog in his Garage and helped us to get our diesel tank welded at another specialised workshop of a friend. Hugo is a very nice and clever guy, we can only recommend to contact him if you need help, he can even offer storage of your car if you want to have a break in Europe. Many thanks to Hugo, but he only speaks spanish.

Perfect to visit Lima. We called before and they asked If we need water because they had a problem. We told them that we do not need water, electricity or a bathroom and we would leave no waste.
You have to be there before 6 pm so they can copy your german passport. In the evening you have to be inside the Club before 10 pm.
Wifi do not reach the parking lot, not even with our antenna.
Plaza Vea and Metro just around the corner.
Uber to Plaza Mayor ~ 20 S.

Don’t allow you to stay there if you don’t have a proper RV with toilet and kitchen inside. We went there with our rebuild 4x4 (with a bed inside) and they didn’t allow us to stay there.
We had the impression they don’t want more overlanders in there place. So better look for something else because if they don’t allow you to stay there you have to drive to the nightmare of Lima’s traffic again...

Report Check-In

A very good place to stay for one or two nights in Lima. We were happy that this offer still exists for German travelers. If you have a normal rv be careful when you drive in to the parking lot. It is very steep, we had to pump up our air suspension to the limits and still had ground contact with the back (fortunately only the very stable tire carrier). No wifi at the parking place, only in the club house. They are keeping the trash at the parking and some bricks etc., but still a good and safe spot.

as described before. coordinates are at the entrance with the main building and the secretary where you have to show your german passport.

wifi passwort is writen at the door to the secretary. we enjoyed our stay especially with the 25 m long swimmingpool and the clean baños with hot showers.

A sports club for Germans and their relatives. Founded mid of 19th century (for everyone who would think something different ;)).

Even without reservation and being a german/ dutch couple, we where invited to stay one night (normally its two nights but they had an event next day and needed the parking lot).
But its better to call beforehand Ms. Janne Gutierrez Rojas +512737247.

The friendly woman at the reception said we weren’t allowed to use the facilities (“only parking for security”) but the security guard said we should use all the facilities. The place is huge, so you won’t see the reception lady again...the showers are amazingly hot!

They allowed me to stay for two days. Call before you come!

Latest entry by car at 6:00pm (check in)

Only downside: If you leave the club you have to be back at 10:00 pm otherwise they will not let you in for the night

Report Check-In

Guards didn't let us stay as there was no responsible person there and they are not authorized to make a decision. A German lady inside said it's better to call the office ahead and let them know.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

we arrived on a Suterday afternoon and asked for entry. The guard told us that there is no responsible person available and he can't reach the lady. He didn' let us in, also with the intervention of a german teacher we met there. For us it looks like that they don't want to have Overlanders anymore in the club. so we parked close to the Club in front of the teachers house in a segure quarter.

Report Check-In

Loved the German Club. We stayed two nights and were the only campers there, but we got the impression that one night is the norm. Hot showers and bathrooms, wifi, an awesome pool with lawn chairs for lounging, a cafe that will bring you pitchers of lemonade while you sunbathe, and super friendly staff. And it's all free if you have a German passport... Needless to say, we didn't want to leave :)

Report Check-In

They no longer accept Camper with the exception of German passport-holders and than only for an overnight stay.
