Easy access to reach the coffee farm. As previous reviews state 15 USD camping is definitely overpriced BUT we took the 17 USD option for the bungalow and that was much better value for money. The restaurant is expensive so bring food with you if you are on a budget. The coffee tour was a nice experience. 30 min. walk to the plantation, 1 hour guided tour, then quick tasting and lift back to the lodge. A little expensive at 10 USD though. Appreciate the 2500 conversion rate and being able to pay by card at no extra cost. Our bill was off by a few dollars but mistakes sorted quickly after asking for an itemised bill! Overall we enjoyed our two days stay here. Nice views and lovely staff!
Report Check-InThis quiet spot outside crazy Mbeya also offers camping so its map symbol needs changing. Camping on flat grass sports field with nearby volleyball, tennis and squash courts. Electricity near sites but no shade or water taps. Good wifi and showers, very nice staff and owners, restaurant & pool plus coffee plantation tours. Rough access track from main road!
Report Check-InAlways a great stop when late coming from Malawi and heading to Iringa (Old Farm Kisolanza)
Friendly and attentive staff. Good ablutions. No problem using the Lodge facilities.
As others have mentioned, the Camper’s Cottage a great option on wet nights.
Highly recommend.
For camping they have a large lawn, or helipad. No shade, a distant power plug. Ablutions shared with day visitors, they were packed by a filming crew when we were there and the shower was cold. They do have a bar, okay wifi all around, and a restaurant which also sells coffee. There are a volleyball and tennis court, squash in the building. As campers we felt just tolerated, their main clients stay in the rooms or dine-in. Still, a nice view over the valley. They charged us 15US pP and 7.5US for the kid, quite expensive.
Lunji is much nicer and has way more charme, for less money.
Utengule Coffee Lodge is always a good stopover.
We used the Camping Chalet option for US$ 17.50 pppn.
Clean, quiet, hot water. No complaints.
Food was excellent!
”Camping cottage” was a good deal on a chilly winter night, 17$ pppn against camping at the heli pad for 13$ pppn. Pretty clean, 2 bathrooms, 2 furnished bedrooms, kitchen, living room, porch. Bring your sleeping bags, pots and pans. Super friendly & accommodating manager.
Report Check-InGreat place with swimming pool and other amenities! You can take walks up the hills and to the coffee farm! We paid 65 usd a night but prices might vary.
