The parking lot at the entrance of the town is ok with vehicle camping. They asked for 15 soles for vehicle only. No amenities. There's the town for whatever you may need. There's plenty of shaded areas for parking on the sandy lot. No nuisances other than the occasional cars and dune buggies passing-by.

quiet night just next to church, grass for the dogs and very little car traffic although near the main road. No amenities but easy to find in town.

parking lot, no facilities. we asked for electricity and they said yes, 10 soles. water from the street. no bathroom, no shower. WiFi from the Rocha Hotel password:[Password removed by Moderator.].

Latest Check-Ins

It's a shame, unfortunately there is no parking space here anymore. We stood in front of a blocked driveway on Saturday afternoon.

Report Check-In

Parking Lot with guard. Noisy during day.

Report Check-In

I was not able to find this place. where this pin is an empty trash filled lot.

Report Check-In

Now the price was 25s. But good toilet and on a Monday it was calm and silent. We had a good sleep.

Report Check-In

The price is now 20S for the van for the night (maybe because we were there on a Friday night? not sure) Safe place (there's a guard all night), but we heard the nearby night club music until 4am and then the road workers from 6am, so not really quiet, maybe better on week days

Report Check-In

We stayed here for one night and hire buggy tour, so we didn’t for to sleep!

Report Check-In

We sent to the last cochera before the road turns. We have a big rig and they asked 25 soles for one night with no water or bathrooms. We they saw us asking elsewhere, they offered 15 soles which was OK for us. It was Saturday night and I was incredibly noisy all night long because of the night-club. We stayed one more night, for free, and with no noise because it was Sunday. Place OK except on Fridays and Saturdays.

Report Check-In

we didn't spend the night but was a lot of parking... we search for the cheapest and find near here for 5 soles... if we want to spend the night he charges plus 5... just that! recommend visit, it's nice! ( my parking doesn't have any facilites, just parking...)

Report Check-In

arrived just after dark in town and after going to the hostel got permission to stay on the lot for 2 nights and take a shower after the buggy tour.
the tour was great. we had the impression we were doing more sandboarding then other tours and the tour took 2.5hrs instead of 2.
after the tour we got to take an outdoor shower next to their pool and the guard of the lot came asking money because he only knew about 1 night. after a discussion he gave up

Report Check-In

The guy asked for 10 Soles the night, we decided just to sleep on the street directly next to the parking. Quiet so far, most tourists are leaving around 8pm.

Report Check-In

We stayed here for two nights. Might not be a perfect place as it is noisy (sand buggies are parked here) and some trash, but it was free as we booked the 2 hour sand buggy tour on the second day in the afternoon from 16:00-18:00 (30 soles per person), which was a lot of fun. You can also do the tour in the morning but you pay the same price and only go for 1 hour as there are less people interested in morning tours. We could take a shower after the sand buggy your at his hostel across the street.

Report Check-In

Arrived on a Sunday afternoon and ecocamp was full so we came here. Glad we did! (Ecocamp said if we came back the next day it would be 50s for the car plus another 20s for our ground tent). Here we paid 10s total. And if you book a buggy tour through them (30s/person for 2 hrs) they'll give you one (or maybe two) nights of camping for free. Jaime, the owner of the cochera and buggy tour company, let us use the bathroom of his family's hotel, Salvatierra, which is right across the street.

Report Check-In

10 Soles per Night. Feel Safe, but for us bit noisy from Taxis and in the morning from Buggys. But ok for one Night, Eco Camp was full.
Good for Big Rigs!

Report Check-In

As the ecocamping was full with other cars we were looking for another place. When we were driving through a guy on a motorcycle (Erwin) stopped us an offered us this parking place for 10 Sols including free showers, toilets, pool and WiFi in a hostel nearby. In the end we didn't get it, because we had to book a buggy tour to get it for "free". So we just stood for the night with 3 families for 10Sols each. Felt safe and it was quiet. The next day we went to the ecocamping.

we stayed here on a parking place, but it wasen't a plesure. the hole town looks like a rubish tip, and is very, very noisy, but is surrounded by nices dunes. if you like it you can book a fun tour with a dune buggy.

Report Check-In

Nice town to have some lunch and climb sand dunes. Cool oasis but noisy at night as you would expect.
