Super cute and all to myself (so far). Able to get my 4x4 ambulance in here easily. Was plowed for the most part!

This was my favorite dispersed camping spot on my 11 day car camping trip. Plenty of spaces. There were several larger areas for big rigs. Clean, felt safe, very close to Leadville. I stayed here twice and will be back someday. 1-2 bars Verizon LTE.

Great area! Felt safe, cool temps, lots of places do park, either in open or with shade, plenty of level spots. Had 2 bars 5G T-Mobile and 3 with booster on. Was able to work using cell hotspot and not pull out the Starlink. Only here one night, but met others that were friendly and here for longer. Everything I saw was clean. Would definitely stay again! I turned left at the entrance and stayed left at the next fork.

Tons of camp sites and tons of long term campers. Lots of friendly folks. Verizon LTE in spots and spotty in others. Lots of front rangers playing Taylor Swift at their campsites on the weekends. Love, NaNa

one of our favorite dispersed spots across the country. sooo many sites, plenty of space to spread out, possible to fit tents/rigs of every size, ground is super level. it’s typically really quiet when we’ve been here, no matter how many people are camped out. we’ve stayed at multiple different spots and most have excellent trees for hammocking/shade. fire rings galore. there are pit toilets/portapotties near the Mount Massive Golf Course & Playground. 2 bars at&t, it works well (although on our 5th day here, we lost all service for multiple hours, not sure what happened).

Lots of great spots here, off Cty Rd 48. Previous descriptions pretty accurate. Found a great level spot about 1/4 mile (straight @ forks) w/fire pit/ring. Neighbor campers not too close. Pretty pleased with this find! Can hear cars on county road a bit but not bad.

Great place! Dispersed camping as described. 5G with t-mobile. Weird to find, take the middle dirt road when approaching the fork

A number of dispersed campsites, no services. Pine and fir forest with lovely peek-a-boo views of the mountains. The dirt roads are passable to almost any vehicle at first, but get more rutted and potholed further in. We had no trouble finding good campsites in our low-clearance Promaster van on a June weekend. Verizon service is spotty: cell strength seems good enough with 2 bars in most locations, but underlying internet connection was weak. Since we need reliable internet for work, we moved to a different location the next night.

Dispersed camping off County Road 48. No amenities. Lots of sites. Washboard dirt road in less than half mile. Fair ATT cell service.

Spent a night here. Quiet and convenient to Leadville. Not alot of snow on the ground, so sites were still accessible, not sure that will be the case farther into winter. Some Verizon 4G service.

Many spots for all sizes and styles. Verizon is 2 bars spot is level with minimal trash. Awesome view of the mountains

Convenient spot but busy on a Saturday night. Some music was unfortunate but not a deal breaker for us.
Our chosen site had signs of bear activity, likely from the large amount of trash left by previous users.
If you take the first left when coming into this area the sites go back aways. That rear area was nearly empty.

Free. Open space to camp some with firepit and quite level.
