Quiet and calm place to park after or before your ascend to El Morado Glacier. Some other spots up the trail but you need 4x4.

Not accessible by car anymore. Road closed because of mining in that area. Still possible to camp without car
Report Check-InPretty views of the mountains and a crystal clear sky! The road up only suitable for AWD/4x4. Instead of joining other campers at the end of the road, we decided to find ourselves a more private place a little further back. There's a murky river in the valley, but a bit far away for easy access.
Report Check-InReally common camping stop if you want to spend the night before/after going to Glacier El Morado. People go by car but we walked from Baños Morales (lovely trail) when we reached the spot they were already 10 tents. Not really windy although there ain’t any wind protection
