Description

Nice, quiet place with a nearby pond and walking trails. Clean porta potty and pavilion. No fire pits. We were unsure if there was overnight parking allowed but no one came through to clear out the area. We were the only people parked here overnight and it was fantastic.

I’m from the area & drive the dirt roads here quite often. There are 3 named dirt roads. The first is Frosty Hollow Road, that sits next to a white church, which I believe is now a residence. That main road will bring you through the park. As you travel along, you will see several pull-in spots. You come to a four way intersection. Straightahead there is a parking lot that you may be able to park in. Then when you come to the intersection you can either take a right or left. If you go to the right, you’ll find a road that leads down to a pond. There’s a huge parking lot there. Also at that intersection turn left on the dirt road & there are two roads off that road. The first road called Brook Trail. Follow that road and not even a 1/4 mile down that dirt road you’ll see a road on the right that goes off into the trees & leads down to the river. It’s a really cool spot and has space for a camper, van, car. There’s also another spot off Brook Trail that’s tucked way in. You just have to ride around and you will find pull offs. There’s also another dirt road called Barber Trail that has spots. I was talking to some guy that had a conversion van & he has stayed there several times. It’s a really cool place. There’s also another place called Stepping Stone Falls on Falls River Road. It’s a dirt road and there are plenty of pull offs there too.

There is a few places to tuck off and park. Also was a clean port o potty. I called to get a camping permit but they said one was not needed to sleep in a van as we were not having a fire or anything. We checked it out during the day and came back at midnight. No one was around except two trucks for hunting arrive at 8am. Perfect and clean!! Thanks for the find.

Stayed here after not being able to park at walmart. We arrived after dark... extremely quiet!! We were the only ones there until morning when some locals came. There was 1 large porti pot, no trash. Neat area.
