Description

You can drive up to this view point and spend overnight for free. Nice view and quiet place. The road is a bit rough but not bad. There is a small shop there where you can drink coffee and beer. It was no problem for the owner’s shop to sleep at this place.

The viewpoint is no more accessible with a 4wd, the road is washed 500m before to arrive. No problem to pass with a bike or a motorbike. FYI just before the washed road it is possible to park and sleep on the edge of the track.

Report Check-In

I slept in front of one of the houses and the owner helped me to attach my tarp to house's roof for better protection for my tent. I bought some drinks, water and cookies and all was overpriced (f.e.: for the bottle of 0,5 l of water she charged me 1.5$).

Amazing spot. All alone in the clouds. When the view clears it's awesome. No wind for us either. No need for high clearance (my friends made it with 20 cm clearance under their car). The last couple of hairpins at the top are very sandy though. 4x4 is preferable but probably not necessary if you go carefully in low gear.

Same as other comments, need 4x4 to get there but amazing view. 45min/1 hour drive once you get off road

Report Check-In

As described. Great view and windy. No facilities. Low range and 4x4 required. Worth it for sure...
Arrived 5:30 PM and there was nobody here. Nobody came by at night either...

Beautiful spot next to the lagoon. The family selling in the business owns the ground, so we ask permission to sleep. She was very friendly. We believe that is good buy a hot water to contribute to the local economy.

you need 4x4 for the last 3,6 km to get there. The other day rained and the road was very poor condition. High clearance and 4x4 are required.

Fantastic spot!
Very quiet, incredible view on the lake and the valley. Nobody in the shop, we saw only few trekkers.
Super windy at night, we could'nt stay outside the car
Careful: 4x4 needed at the end of the 11km dirt access road where you have to manage with very sharp and sandy hairpins.
