I really liked this spot. When I arrived, a couple of really large RVs were over on the left side, which is really the only place for them to be. I parked on the other side away from the start of the trail. Early in the evening, a couple of other RVs came in. It was a super quiet stay with great views.

Spent a few nights while visiting the monument. It has good views of the Organ Mountains. It's also a trailhead though. Over the weekend it was incredibly busy with day use (maybe because it snowed? ). Luckily I was parked there prior. You're not supposed to take all the trail parking up for camping per the signs. A few big rigs and a few small ones and that's gonna be about it. If you bave a smaller rig you might be better off checking out some of the more private sites further down.

BLM Trail head parking lot / turn out. This is a great spot, as described. Paved road all the way to the trail head lot, and the lot is freshly graveled. The lot is good sized, with plenty of room for big rigs and spots that feel like you're alone despite being around other campers. We had no issues finding a place at 4pm, facing the Organ Mountain range, for gorgeous views. Used a few levelers to get super nice, but it's gravel so you can probably just pile it if you don't have levelers.
Cows are in the area too.
Got decent T-Mobile/Sprint 4GLTE service.
Excellent spot to boondock, we hope to be back again.

Nice spot. Great view of the sunset and the distant city lights at night. No level spots for parking but the slope isn't too bad. Minimal noise as there is little traffic on the adjacent road. Just 3-4 campers while I was there.

Geavel parking lot. Great for a night or two. Nice view on the mountain and the city. Very quiet.

We loved this place. 6 overnighters including us. Hiked the trail twice (fun pretty uphill out and back) amazing sun set.

Report Check-In

Really great spot! Some traffic, not during the night. Good cell reception. Awesome viel!

Report Check-In

Easy spot to stay overnight. Hiked the trail, which was lovely. A few others overnighted here, slept great. Good TMobile.

Report Check-In

Great little spot. Enough room for 4 or 5 larger rigs. The other boondock spots to the south have a better view of the mountains but they were all full.

Report Check-In

Good spot for a night or two when passing through, near town, good signal, but no privacy. Nice trail.

Report Check-In

Big parking lot. Very good view for sunset and mountains. Peacy. Free.

Report Check-In

Great place, nice hiking trail. Free roaming cows are no issue. Be a little better if people picked up after their dogs. Great though.

Report Check-In

Beautiful view but as the sun set the wind picked up and it must of been 30+mph winds. Shook our camper all night long and barely got any sleep. As soon as we drove away the wind died down so it must be something about that spot

Report Check-In

Quiet spot at the trailhead. I hiked to Baylor peak in the morning. The next night the lot was full of overlanders. Everyone’s pretty quiet and keeps to themselves. Please pick up after your dogs.

Report Check-In

A lot of vans and RVs parked haphazardly in a gravel lot. I just grabbed a little spot out of the way. It was dark when I arrived, so maybe it’ll all make sense in the morning! Fairly Quiet.

Report Check-In

Suuuuuuper busy on a Sunday afternoon. Go further down the road for more space

Report Check-In

Got here in the evening. There were other vans and campers. The spot is quiet and you can see the stars.

Report Check-In

Gravel parking lot right off the paved road. Easy access for any rig.

Report Check-In

As described. This is a trailhead & there's specific parking for RVs/overnighters. The night I stayed there were some locals having a bonfire, so a bit busier than expected but still a great spot. I had cell service too (verizon) which is always a perk for me. Would stay again!

Report Check-In

A rough but fairly level parking lot for the trailhead, but a decent spot to sleep for the night. Good cell service. Fairly quiet, minimal road traffic at night, 3 other RVs overnight, overlooks city lights. There were a couple nighttime hikers at 9pm, full moon, Sunday. Very windy at night. Trail and lot open 24 hrs, no fees. Trail increasingly challenging 1 mile in. No fire rings near lot, but may be near plateau.

Report Check-In

Was able to stay the night here, thankfully! This is literally just a parking lot for the trailhead. Lots of activity on the road and parking lot throughout the night.

Report Check-In

Easy access for RVs & trailers. Lots of day use traffic. Great mountain views.

Report Check-In

Quiet night with multiple van and even a fifthwheel.

Report Check-In

Beautiful views of city lights and mountains. No fire rings. Safe quiet spot with Verizon and att.

Report Check-In

Trailhead, enough room for about 10-15 spaces, nothing is really structured. No fire rings. Multiple trailers were there obviously for more than just a quick night. Incredible sunset. Gets a little crowded around dusk with locals parking and hiking up a little to watch the sunset. No problems except one night someone one just trying to cause some noise to be annoying before peeling out.

Report Check-In

It is also as described, but there are no firerings here.

Report Check-In
