Description

This is the last palapa in the street. Near the beach. Tiger live there and he will help you a lot, he love speak with tourists and learn. The restaurant run in high season but if he can fish he could prepare
some fish. You can park just Infront of his house. Is 30 km of dirt road in good conditions but the problem is the rain. Ask how is the road before start the road. We passed there two nights, very quiet.

Nice spot to camp at the end of the road. 50 pesos a night per person. Includes baños and bucket shower.

Beware...
Make sure you pay Hector 'El Tigre' and no one else. There's a guy who tried to charge us 200 pesos per night, saying he worked for 'El Tigre'. NO ONE works for him. We refused 200 as we knew it was only 50 pesos per person. Finally he gave in and took our 100 pesos. Next morning I go to use to the bathroom and I get told by Hector that I have to pay to use the facilities. I told him I paid his 'worker' the previous day. He was pretty mad about it as it's happened multiple times. We never saw the guy that took our money again.

Hector is a friendly guy, but if he's drunk(I think he may be an alcoholic), make sure you don't book a boat tour with him(we had booked in the morning when he was sober). We were suppose to see the birds and sunset before the bioluminescence and because he was too drunk, we didn't start the tour till 730pm. When we finally got to the boat launch, he ended up not having a boat(which is fine cause he was wasted) and called a random dude on the lagoon to pick us up. The bioluminescence was spectacular, but really wish we could have seen the birds and sunset as we still paid the same amount.

Stayed there after checkin some other places. We thought it was the best one. We paid 50 pesos per night per person.
We took a little boat to go surfing on the island (20 pesos per person per ride).
We went on tiki restaurant, we had a juice and ask them if we could let our bags there while we were surfing then came back and eat a nice tacos, very friendly people:)
The road was in good condition but we had some tuff time with the trees as we are high with our truck camper.

We camped here for 3 nights with one other van. There’s enough space for 2 or 3 vans, but not for big rigs. Parking is at the turn around at the end of the road. There is access to both the lagoon and ocean beaches from this parking area. Hector “el Tigre” cleans and watches over this area. His posada is on the lagoon side of the beach. He let us use his restroom for free and told us to let him know if there is anything we need. He also sells cubetas of water. We encountered an angry person on Sunday evening who asked us if we had permission to park here. He yelled that there are campgrounds and that he doesn’t like gringos camping on the road. We told him that Hector gave us permission and he left. When I told Hector, he said we can camp here as long as we like and that he welcomes us to camp here. He said not to worry about the angry man and that “No hay problema.” We stayed for 2 additional nights after with no problemas. Beers are $20MX. The ladies next door cook for Hector’s Posada El Tigre, and their pulpo al Diablo is cooked tenderly, but the sauce is a little heavy on tomato. For cheap eats, try the pescadillas. Hector is a fisherman and will catch you a fish if you want to buy one. Just let him know the day before.

El Tigre, Hector, is a great guy and enjoys having tourist. He is a kind man and willing to make your stay comfortable. The location is great and quiet. Great swimming and fishing if you get the opportunity. Hector will take you out spear fishing if you ask him. I enjoyed my time there and recommend this spot for your visit to the lagoon

This is a really good place to spend few days in Chacahua. From here you can walk to the lighthouse and enjoy the best view around, walk to the little village (grocery shop and others), and reach the main wave by crossing the channel or go by walk to the other wave down the light house, bigger and faster wave.
El Tigre is warm hearted, he would help you with anything.
enjoy Bio luminescents life straight on the beach and fireflies in the air..
magical place!
