Camped here for a night after a local told us it's crown land and we could camp there for free.
Felt so safe (which hasn't happened in a while for us).
A nice public jetty a couple minutes further down the road.
Absolutely GORGEOUS clear, blue water. Amazing sunset...Only woken by the early sunrise!
Mosquitos were irksome but to be expected.

Good spot but:
- not easy to get in the water to cool down
- fishermen are busy working next to the spot
- mosquito carnage
However calm and happy place to stay
Quel bel endroit.
What a nice place. Now easily accessible, the road is nice, with the two small ferries. The road has just been prepared, it will soon be paved.
This little village is adorable, its inhabitants are so welcoming. We fell in love. There is a large community of Francophones who have settled here. We stayed two nights here. There is a yellow picnic table and the access to the water is in rocks, unlike everywhere around where it is mud.
Pretty spot. Muddy water though. This is better than the other spot marked in town. Whole town is very quiet and relaxing.
But this town is really not worth the 2.5-3 hr drive from Corozal. Road is very bumpy and wouldn’t dare try during or after rain. Maybe if you plan on staying a few days it would be worth the trip...or take the 30min boat ride from corozal.
Report Check-InNice and quiet place, near the water, under trees. we didn't swim because the water was muddy. not a real beach, but very beautifull.
for coming we take the dirt road from Corozal with two free crank ferry, very nice! (but many holes )
