Nice beach with restaurant, bathrooms, outdoor showers, picnic area, playground, basketball court, and a museum across the street. Life guards on duty and a high security presence. There is a big parking lot and this place gets really busy. You can walk to a less crowded area along the coast or choose another one of the small public beaches to choose from.
Might be able to stealth camp here, but it is usually unwelcomed along the coast.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Great spot under pier. No issues. Bathrooms open late. No other facilities. Can be noisy if neighbors are running generators.
Report Check-InThe beach is nice, but the neighborhood watch people were really unwelcoming and rude to us travelers. There are cameras and cops everywhere, but some punks still did burn outs, broke bottles, acted aggressively, and were trying to sell me something. When I reported it to the cops and they said the parks operate the cameras and they didn't seem to care even though there is a high security presence all day. Weird experience.
Report Check-InParking lot next to a cafe, parked at about 6 pm and stayed overnight until 1:30pm and no issues whatsoever. Toyota dolphin was parked next to me too. The parking lot by the pavilions are probably better
Report Check-InNo signs prohibiting overnight parking, we stayed without issue. Definitely a stealth mode spot, we stayed in the second lot (by the fire station) all the way in the far corner so not visible from the road, condos, fire station, or even really the main lot at night.
Report Check-InI've stayed at this location a couple of times when visiting from the other coast. Never had any problems, but I definitely feel like the cops would ask me to leave. Right at the beach.
Report Check-Intwo pig parking lots, with no signs, that overnight parking is prohibited. there is one big building an one small building behind, with flushing toilets- but closed at night. The parking lot has regularly parking spaces, so maybe not a good thing for big rigs. behind the second parking lot are picnic shelter's and a small playground. the place is also highly recommend by surfer's. nobody borderd me, would stay here again
Report Check-InBeautiful beach with partly shaded parking - bathrooms and outdoor showers.
I was fine for the night. Though there was some cars pulling up at random times. I felt like the cops would ask me to move but I never saw any... there is sea turtles on the beach at night so just be respectful of that if you’re out.
Report Check-InI recieved a knock from a cop around 8:30pm saying that I couldn't stay overnight. The officer was nice but said that the people in the condo building neighboring the lot have and will complain. The parking lot is large and areas you can park out of sight from the condo building on the far end. I saw another camper in the lot to the left of the bathrooms that the cop didnt bother.
Other than having to leave, I enjoyed myself and it was a nice place. Quiet, clean, nice beach, and clean bathrooms
nice quiet location. right on beach. great rest rooms nearby. close to public and other stores. only bummer is slow cell service.
Report Check-InPark open 24/24 with beach access. Toilets and outdoor shower. We stayed at night without any problem and quiet.
