The two nearby free/wild camp spots were no longer free on 10/21/18 (we checked them both) so this is the last ditch spot we found right after sunset. Feels like BLM land.
In the morning the Police rolled up hot and searched us and our vehicle but were very nice. They didn’t take any money. They just let us know this isn’t the best or safest spot.
So if you’re headed down from the border crossing it might be best to just pay for a camp spot on day 1
