Dispersed camping along a National Forest road. Beautiful pine forest. Not suitable for large vehicles. Come up in the mountains and escape the heat.

This was a beautiful stop! Very easily accessible. Would be tricky with a trailer but level enough for cars and trucks. A bit of a rough patch on one side of the entry but there’s plenty of space to drive around it. Stayed here for one night, light traffic, beautiful scenery. Would stay again.
Report Check-InThe road to this site was in great shape (had no issue in our 2wd manual truck). Pretty spot with ample firewood to be foraged. There was some very muddy ruts in the driveway of the campsite, but we were able to drive around them on either side. Horse tracks and elk fur were observed. Would have stayed two days but moved on due to snow in the forecast!
Report Check-InIt's not that wonderful of a spot so we decided to move on. There is graffiti on a sign on the left and a camping spot to the right down a hill (would be slippery if it rained).
Report Check-InOf the left hand side of road. Slow going up. Have 2 bars on AT&T. Pretty spot with several options to set up. Planning on staying here awhile. Very chilly but fabulous after hot day at white sands
Report Check-InNice spot up a fairly bumpy road. We made it up in our shuttle bus. 2 fire pits to use. occasional car or dirt bike would drive up the road but other than that it was quiet and private.
Report Check-InGreat spot with easy access. I'm right at the 🔵 a little uneven but if you park just right it works. Most vehicles could get this far but not sure about big rigs or those with trailers for turning around. Good Verizon LTE
Report Check-InNice wooded area, dirt road to the place but doable in a 2wd. Verizon had 2 bars and had reasonable internet. There are also spots for campfires setup.
Report Check-InFairly easy drive. Took the road during a thunderstorm in my 2WD Tundra. Had no issues. Drive slowly as to avoid sharp rocks and potholes.
Camping was superb. Peace and quiet are assured when camping here.
Report Check-InSites still open. Bottom side is unlevel but wide open. Ok for a Skokie or larger rig. We stayed at the top of the hill on the left. Quiet with only few trucks passing through the night.
Report Check-InQuiet shady spot in a forest. Fast Verizon and AT&T. Parked at the fork of the road just past the Switchback Trail trailhead off of Bailey Canyon Road.
Report Check-InRough dirt road, but my Prius made it up, will find out if it will make it back tomorrow
Report Check-InGood spot to park near Cloudcroft. Fine service (Verizon) & a ring for a fire too!
Report Check-InStayed one night, parked just passed the cattle guard, next to the trailhead. Had zero issues
Report Check-InFine place for a night or two. Nothing that special but pretty easy to access. Nice hike nearby as well. And had some wild horses hanging out for a bit. Good AT&T service. Road was ok for vans/trucks. Probably would not bring a towed vehicle in unless it's pretty tough.
Report Check-InBeautiful quiet spot just above the road. Great hiking and lots of wildlife. Had a peaceful evening in the New Mexico mountains. Not sure about that altitude though. Think it’s more like 8000’
Report Check-InVery nice campsite! Right by the road, so a few cars go by. Extremely slippery in winter conditions! We got stuck in our RWD E350 with all terrain tires, and from the looks of it several other people have as well.
