We decided to stay at the pullout just before the road into the marina, didn't want anyone to bother us. Worked for a night after leaving death valley!

NP agent came to see us saying it is 12$ to stay overnight or 6$ if you have annual pass. When he came back to collect, ask us a few questions on our stay and chat a bit and he finally says to forget to pay. I think he is just making sure nobody is staying there for too long and making sure everybody is safe. Very nice place with an awsome view!

Spent one night here while exploring the area. Got to park on the edge of the lake and enjoy a wonderful sunset.

Report Check-In

The night we were here the wind was howling and the lake was very low so there was plenty of camping down in the hard packed sand. Cell service on Verizon & TMobile were strong enough for streaming.

Heard about Remington Hot Springs nearby. We will be headed there for a Soak next. But Ive heard that camping there is now shut down.

The whole Kern valley was a spectacular drive here from Trona Pinnacles- look it up if you haven’t heard of it. Incredible spot that is so unusual. One of our all time favorites as it’s definitely Otherworldly.

As described. Easy access. $10 first service fee.

we stayed on the beach a little to the west from the given coordinates. the whole beach from the coordinates to the auxiliary dam is free camping. that being said we were there on a Saturday evening and there were no spots on the water available, there must have been at least 100 vehicles/rigs parked on this beach, maybe more. super crowded and people blasting music all night. also very windy. that being said the lake is gorgeous and there's some nice restaurants, shops, grocery stores and such in the town so it's very accessible. also the beach was huge! so even though spots on the water were all taken we were able to park up on the beach with lots of room to spare. also full cell service on Verizon.

Report Check-In

Worked well for a night. Space for a RV’s up in the lot, we camped down on the lake in the SUV. Bathrooms are closed currently

Report Check-In

very busy. many rigs set up on a permanent basis. both other stops are much more filled than this. bathrooms are no good. but least there is power there.

Report Check-In

really nice spot for boondocking. too bad no swimming allowed at the lake due to red algae. we parked all the way down near by the marina. it has its own fire pit which is nice. great signal for verizon and t-mobile
