The attendant told us the hot spring have been destroyed by a storm… and 32$ to sleep in camp ground… so did not stay..
This hot springs is now unfortunately closed. There are signs at the top of the river saying closed. Went down to take a look and it seems like the Foresty dept took sledge hammers to everything. The source water is still flowing very hot, but with no pools to catch it. Apparently this happens often and the locals try and rebuild them.

Report Check-InSulfuric Hot Springs directly at the Kern River, day use area only. Dispersed camping is allowed at any of the pullouts along Old Kern Canyon Rd or stay at Sandy Flat or Hobo Campgrounds. Another option is the parking lot of Remington Hot Springs. Dispersed camping is allowed here as well. Both springs are equally nice, well maintained and regularly cleaned by volunteers. FREE
