Typical Walmart parking lot. Pretty quiet and good for a night.

I'm from Asheville and am in town for doctor appointments. I stopped at Walmart for groceries and came back to organize my van with no intent of staying there. I got a knock on my van just a little after 8pm telling me I had to leave. He knew I'd been there an hour and a half. He was really nice and I told him I'm from Asheville and know better than to try staying in that area even if Walmart allowed it. He told me that even with the Asheville City police presence and the multiple camera units the crime there is still out of control. He also said tractor trailers are no longer allowed because one dumped grey water into the river on the property and Walmart got fine $50,000 by the city for it. Stay away from here and be nice to the guy if you get a knock... he's just doing his job. He said you can park at Kohl's and at least there are some truckers parked there to hopefully help with safety.
Report Check-InSecurity guard and police officer knocked on the van! very weird! can't stay here!
Report Check-InI was asked to leave immediately after getting my shades in place. The security person made sure there was no parking.
Report Check-InThe really nice security man knocked on my window and said no parking but that Lowe’s 1/2 mile away allowed for overnight. I’m here now lots of other vehicles doing same thing.
Report Check-InWalmart security will kindly redirect you to the parking lot of Kohl’s that is across the shopping center. It a better parking lot with less blinking lights and road noise. I slept unbothered. There were four cars there and a van doing the same.
