Ecuador
UPDATE:
You can cross here on foot by a basket hanging from a cable. Looks fairly safe and is free.
Currently closed. A cable snapped and as of 1/27/22 hasn’t been repaired in over a year, so don’t hold your breath. Bridge holds 10 Ton. Height restriction 2.5m as there are height bars installed 2017. You can access town from Tena side of river no problem.
We don't have any photos of this place yet.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Bridge under construction, but still far from finished. Basket is operational and free. There is a small cabin with someone operating the basket, so don't know if it is running at night. Crossed at 6 pm the latest.
Report Check-Innot so sure if it's free. At least there is a sign "25ct por senores turistos"
Report Check-InThere is no basket any more. No way to cross the river here. Nighther by vehicle nor by foot.
Report Check-InThe bridge has disintegrated.
Large cables snapped, bridge span all but gone, no pedestrian or vehicle crossing
Bad mentioned. Bridge is closed. Wanted to updated the listing as I missed this initially and only saw the height restriction.
Report Check-InBridge is closed! Apparently has been for the past year. No way to cross the river here without a car. Would have to take the other route from E-45.
Report Check-InThe height restriction is 2.5m on this bridge (there's a sign). You can drive to Misahualli from the Tena side of the river no problem.
Report Check-InThere are now bars across the bridge to Misahualli and only cars (Max 2 metres) can get through. Not sure whether this is temporary but certainly when we visited (may 2017) there was NO access to misahualli for campers. Two bridges have bars and the other bridge is down. You can park your car at the bridge and walk over.
Report Check-InMy RV is 3,30 m high and I had no problem. I think the bridge is about 3,50.
