Now 7000 ARS pppn, our Children 6 years didnt pay and you dont have to pay for a car/camper etc.
They have a good kitchen in the house.
The bathrooms are heated and the showers are hot with good pressure. Everything is a little bit old, but clean and the owner are super friendly.
The WiFi reach to parking lot and its fast.
You can have power and water.
To the town is 10min or less.
Big rigs have maybe a problem because on the road is a small bridge with a sign that “Camionetas” are not allowed. I dont know witch weight limit the bridge has.

Report Check-In

Interesting campsite. Camping 7 USD, Cabanas 30 USD as of March 2024. The Cabanas are very basic wooden houses with 6 bunk beds, a heater and probably no bed linen. I decided to move on, as in the Camping Cabanas Calafate next street the Cabanas had 2 rooms, a kitchen and bathroom for 40 USD.

Report Check-In

Only a month after the last entry but the price has gone up already to 6000 per person, no negotiation possible, not even for a couple of nights. Still seems to be the cheaper option around. Nice well maintained campground, bathrooms are run down but clean and showers hot. Nice owner indeed!

Report Check-In

Campground in walking distance to town (10mins). We stayed in our tent and even though it was very windy, the campground gave us enough protection. We paid 6000 for two people per night. The kitchen could be cleaner but it gives you a nice indoor area to sit and cook and the WiFi works very well. Bathrooms are okay and a big pro: they are heated and it is nice and cozy inside. Owners are very nice.

Report Check-In

we v been 3 night is cabana number 2. it has the heater that doesn t work so they discount it for us at 4000 per night. very good price for el calafate cabin super basic, with a table and good WiFi connection. I upload on YouTube ecc no problems. bathroom are decent, water is hot and spacious. kitchen is basic but it works.
reading the last review I think the place changed a little bit, is not that bad at all. for the price we paid it went over expectations. 10 min walk from main street. reasonably safe parking
for Motorbike, stay assured👍

Report Check-In

One of the worst campsites in our entire trip from canada to calafate. The toilets and showers are not clean. The kitchen is really too dirty for words. In addition, sent away from the kitchen because we were sitting there with our laptop. It was a kitchen and not an office. Wifi very bad and only available in the kitchen where you are not allowed to sit if you are not cooking. There are 2 owners i think. one is very friendly. One is very rude. We paid 4000 pesos for 2 persons. showers only "warm" from 0730 until 0930 and 1830 until 2030

Report Check-In

updated price: now 2000$/pppn as the other camp sites.

Report Check-In

A great low cost stop for cyclists. Ariel (owner) was friendly & accommodating - he let us store bikes there securely while we went hiking for a few days. good kitchen, good but basic bathroom, good shelter from wind.

Report Check-In

camping sujo, sem água para tomar banho e a descarga do banheiro estava sem água, horrível o lugar. muito caro pelo que oferecem, cobram valores aleatórios, de acordo com o cliente.

Report Check-In

4000 pesos for 2 people+ 1 camper / night

Report Check-In

Super valeu a pena , recomendo !!

Estamos em 5 pessoas e com uma barraca de teto + anexo.

We spent 2 nights in this place, it was just wonderful! Due to the wind in the city we chose to sleep in a campsite, the administrator was super attentive and charged us 1,000 pesos per person for each night, clean bathrooms but there was no paper and the shower pressure decreases when more people are taking a shower but the shower is hot . It also has a small kitchen that you can use for washing dishes and cooking.

It was super worth it, I recommend it!!

We are 5 people and with a roof tent + annex.

Report Check-In

All as described, good budget place, I paid 1000 pesos/night.

Report Check-In

1000pp for tent 6000 for a cabana. guy is nice and let's you know when workers come to party as this is a campground for the road workers, otherwise mostly cyclists here. kitchen wifi and hot water

Report Check-In

We arrived at 7 pm on New year's Eve. The gate was closed, but there were people and other campers on the site. Walking in (the small door was open) and asking if they are open, I was sent away from the rude owner. "If the gate is closed, it is closed. "

Report Check-In

Good spot, close to town and laguna and great price of 1000 pesos. Wifi was good and agree with other comment about run down bathroom but it all works so no problem. We stayed a couple nights and would recommend.

Report Check-In

A nice modest campsite. Good wind protection, a shared kitchen, bathrooms with hot water. Pressure is good if you’re the only one there, but it drops when another shower is started. Ariel the host, is amazing. Super friendly, with a lovely dog! Access to the main strip is simple, less than a 5 minute walk. 1,000 pesos pppn, no extra for van.

Report Check-In

Exellent place to spend the night. Stayed here for 1000ps a person. No extra fee for our campervan. Hot showers, good wifi and a warm but bit poorly equiped kitchen/communal area.

Report Check-In

1000 pesos p.p.p.n. No extra fee for van. good wind shelter from large trees. There are a few spots for vans/cars and tents. Can use shared kitchen facilities. Bathrooms are a bit run down and could use a fix up. Hot water 24/7 though, although pressure wasn’t great.

Report Check-In

Greatest camping ! There are cabans, place for tents and motorhomes. Ariel is very sweet and pet friendly ! Bathroom with hot shower, kitchen and common area are clean. There are picnic tables and barbecus. Lot of trees for wind protect. Wifi work in the kitchen. We paid 800ppn.

Super camping !

Report Check-In

We were there while there was lots of wind, but the place is perfectly well protected from the wind. you don't even hear it at night. Each site has a barbecue. Shower is hot. The owner is very sweet and let us use the kitchen. We paid 600ppp. Perfect for low cost cycling trip :)

Report Check-In

Really good location if this is windy. we were there with a roof tent as it was crazy wind on the shore of the lake and this place is definitly one of the best for wind protection. althought as there is no doubt Carlos the owner is very very kind, be prepare for very old facility. hot shower was good but no pressure for long hair like mine. Price is still 250 pp.

Report Check-In

A nice and cheep camping in Calafate. Owner let mi repair motorbike in the kitchen. Oscar is a very nice person and helpful in everything. Highly recomendable.

Report Check-In

We did come back to stay. Nice little spot, out of the wind and quiet despite being relatively close to town, easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants etc. The bathrooms are amazing- heated and with super hot showers. 250pp, not bad at all.

Report Check-In

Super friendly owner, Carlos, 100pesos for a hot shower. Standard South American level of cleanliness. Looked like a fine place to stay- may visit again when we pass through after camping in the park.

Report Check-In

When we were there is looked like a ghost town. No one there, only cleaning lady’s but no guest or owners.
We left, also because it looked very creapy. Probably closed.

Report Check-In

They asked 500 for one night, we did not want to spend that for how the place looked

Report Check-In

After a night wild camping we take a shower and used the picnic area for breakfast, we paid 100 for two. The shower was good and hot the facilities are a bit old and not super clean but ok - we can recommend it.

Report Check-In

We really liked this place. It might be a bit run-down and the bathroom isnt the cleanest one but hot shower was great. Nice family, good location and great price (100 pp). Would stay there again

Report Check-In

Nice ppl. Wifi really only works at the building but it's good there.
its quiet. yes there are dogs on the way in. I stopped and turned to face them when they barked & they leave you alone. like any dog you dealt with in Colombia or Mexico.
close walk to town. bathrooms are heated, but dirty!

Report Check-In

cheap (100pesos pppn)and nice owner so hard to complain but still there is a few things to know about.
kitchen is only for cabanas guest and there is no shelter at all if it rain.
sites have bbq and electric plug
Dogs from the street are annoying but not dangerous
Banos are not well , shower are hot with low pressur
wifi and cute cats around

Report Check-In

Came to look after seeing that El Ovejero was flanked on both sides by roaads and a dog urinated on our panniers. Unfortunately, a pack of 10 dogs on the entrance to this camping
chased us, were really aggressive and tried to bite my husband's leg. We returned to El Ovejero. Avoid this camping if on bicycles!

Report Check-In

A decent place with nice spots for tents or a van. Each spot has a grill and pieces of what used to be a picnic table. The owner was very friendly and we felt safe there. They could use a little updating and cleaning of the bathrooms but they did have hot water, wifi, and strangely the bathrooms were heated. Overall it was a good experience for ARG$100/person

Report Check-In

Very busy campground with families and teens. A bit noisy. At night, a lot of dogs around barking. Shower/toilets not very clean. Hot water. Paid $100/pp in tent. The kitchen area is only for the cabañas.

Report Check-In

cheap, but you get cheap. Bad Toilett e and shower. smelly. 200pp

Report Check-In

Well it is cheap and quite but the facilities were a disaster. I wouldn’t stay there

Report Check-In

A really nice camping area close to the center, still 100 pesos pp and no fee for the camper. We had a nice flat spot with wooden chairs, table and barbecue area. They also sell firewood (150 pesos for a really large bucket, we got half for 75 pesos). Showers hot but with little pressure.

Report Check-In

Incredibly kind and friendly owners. We arrived at 11:15pm and weren't sure where we could camp. We have a RTT and said we could camp in the small parking lot by the kitchen for wifi reach or just a few more dollars for a cabin with 6 dorm beds to ourselves. There's a kitchen and bathrooms with showers. The bathrooms needed service but it was at least nice to have a shower. Again, the nicest family.

Report Check-In

Really good place to stay !! We didn't want to stay in the camping downtown because it was a Saturday night and might be noisy.
Here was really quiet. They have good showers and you can share the kitchen.
Look perfect for bikers.Good Wi-Fi too.
Maybe not super clean but was ok for the price.

Report Check-In

At these coordinates turn left at the end of the road is the camping entrance, super quiet big flat space with grill, electricity, showers and toilets. CHEAPEST formal campsite we found at $100p/p no need to pay more for the car. They also have very cheap cabins for $ARG400 they use the same bathrooms as the campers, thare is also a kitchen. Good for roof tents as there are a lot of tall trees
