Description

Very nice remote bay. Several spots to stay here. Old farm house ruins near by. Nobody around expect of some fisherman, but I could imagine that during Turkish summer holidays some locals come here for camping. 100-200m west from the marked position the beach access is better. Gravel road to get here is in a very good condition except of a few meters before you reach the beach. Locals drive this with their 2wd cars and vans.

Really nice place, we camped just a bit east from the mentioned spot, at a small bay with space for 1 vehicle (the road is on Google maps). But there are a lot of spaces here, some directly at sea, some a bit more inlands. Also grass there to pitch a tent. Be careful, there might be snakes, we saw one on the first evening. It was very calm and quiet when we were there in January, on weekdays. Good for making a hike as well. The road leading to it from the northeast (8 km gravel) was good and most of the time spacious, just some washed away sections but nothing bad.

It’s a 7,5km gravel road to get to the bay. Really beautiful, but too crowded for our taste. It was a tuesday in June and there were people camping everywhere 30-50m, making music. Maybe a good place from October to April for lonely camping and if you like making new friends it’s perfect.
We drove there with our VW Passat GT, so no problem at all for 2WD!

What an amazing place! We have stayed here for four nights and it was really amazing. On Monday we were together with 3 local men. They invited us to their picknick. They left after a few hours. Next day we saw nobody. On Wednesday some fishermen on the other side of the bay. Also the Jandarma came by and checked our passports. No problems. Next day again the Jandarma, only to check if we were okay.
The ruins our now an official archeology place. So we just parked right before the gate, and that was no problem at all.
The road was in a bad shape, because of all the rain the week before. But the locals drove a regular car, so must be doable.
Again, wel worth a visit. (See pictures) Make sure to bring enough food and water, cause you never want to leave.

Magnificent spot, remote and quiet. I stayed a couple hundred metres more west along the pebble beach. There are a couple of ruins around, looks a bit like an abandoned settlement. Also there's a marked hiking trail along the valley, red/white markings. Definitely a place to spend a couple of days.
