There is parking at the boat rentals. There are no signs that say no overnight parking. There are a few picnic tables. Quiet during the night.

spent a couple nights here in the northwest corner of the lot, where the light is well blocked by the tree. couple pit toilets available in the small lot. never saw another vehicle. great spot

Report Check-In

Easy spot to park for the night. We parked our Promaster in the side gravel parking lot. The boat ramp had their portable toilets locked. You can even venture through the woods to the water.

Great spot. Got in around midnight and leaving at 10:30a. No one hassled me or the other camper who was here last night. If it weren’t raining, I would’ve left my van here longer and gone kayaking.

Plenty of flat spots and real quiet at night.

As described. Mellow, nice place to spend a night. We didn’t want to push it by staying more than one at a stretch, but you might get away with two. There are signs saying the area is under video surveillance 24 hours but no one gave us a hard time. Showed up around 7 pm; a cop car rolled in but they were super nice and weren’t there for us—just stopping to use the toilet! We set an alarm to be out early but no one was there when we rolled out at like 10 am.

Parked in a small pull off during day and hiked thru a couple trails across the street that are attached to the nature preserve. There was a significant amount of trash which honestly seems to be an issue all over Austin. Pulled into the boat rentals parking lot after they closed. Another family had pulled in after we walked the bike trail that runs along and over Lady Bird Lake. A ranger (we believe did pull thru) there were police and what not that patrolled the bridge parking area and the large gravel lot as well. It did make us feel safer and I believe they were setting up for a large festival as well so I am not sure if the presence is normal. It is in a nicer neighborhood of Austin and we were able to walk to a 711, liquor store, restaurants, and bars. The rest of Austin I would not stay in, but felt very safe here.

Report Check-In

Quiet spot (unlike the spot located a bit to the east underneath the highway bridge!). Pit toilets were clean.

Report Check-In

Still a good place to overnight. Quiet and next to the river!
