The pull-in entrance is on the gas-station side, in the middle. The picnic area is small, surrounded on all three sides by busy roads. But there’s room for multiple rigs, with a turnaround for large rigs. Don’t overstay. 1 night max.

We wanted to stay behind the visitor center because of the great wifi but a woman asks us to leave after the sunset. She asks us to move at this point where it's allowed to stay 24h. We were 2 RV of 29 ft. Was really quiet and just at the entrance of Big Bend NP.

We pulled in at 23:30 just to sleep for the night (inside our van) before heading in to Big Bend for a couple days. Parked at the gas station at first by accident. This location is across the street from the gas station.

This spot is for 24 hours only. Not a camp ground. It’s a place to rest for a night, then move on to your next destination. I live here and too many folks are setting up camp and staying for multiple days..! Please respect the rules of TX “Rest Areas”. Thanks

Nice Pic nic area, with tables, BBQ and bins! A bit noisy as you are in the middle of 3 roads, but perfect spot for one night, close to entrance of Big Bend NP.

Very quiet. Beautiful location. There’s a new ATT cell tower here as Feb 2022! Worked OK during the day, but clearly network was very congested in the evening. Nearly unusable at points.

Report Check-In

spoke to a sheriff's deputy who was hanging out here, and her verified that it is ok to stay in this spot for 24 hrs. So we did!!!

Report Check-In

On the corner of the intersection. It wasn’t noisy though. There were 5 of us there.

It’s literally a small dirt park in the middle of an intersection, across from an Alon gas station. The entrance is directly in front of the gas station. It can be really hard to see in the dark. And it gets pretty dark there. The gas station has small convenient store with normal gas station supplies and bathrooms out back. But they do close with the gas station, so try to go early. There’s a pavilion in the middle of the park. Other than that, that’s it. It’s just a place to sleep while going to Big Bend or just passing through. There were 2 other cars/RV’s when I was there. Overall, I fell safe and I wound sleep there again if needed.

Arrived around 9pm and there was only 1 other car. The entrance was hard to find in the dark and I had to circle back around to it. It's in the middle of a Y intersection across the street from the gas station. Traffic died down around 10pm and surprisingly I had an amazing night's sleep! One other RV had arrived overnight, but there was still plenty of room. Great location if you are going to Big Bend the next day!

Spent two nights here with no problems. Closest free spot to Big Bend National Park and that's why we chose it. No Verizon reception.

Stayed here 2 nights no issues. Warm showers behind RV resort- $2 in quarters only. Very slow Verizon service but works with pretty much everything except videos. A couple tables and one trash can. Very quiet at night.
