Description

Do not try this crossing. It is corrupt.
try use Diama instead.
We used this crossing as friends in trucks couldn't use the other one.
We had serious issues getting our exit sorted from Mauritania side along with things stolen off our motorcycles while we had to be away from them.

On the Senegal side, we were blackmailed into paying to release our bikes from the customs compound. To get our Carnet stamped, we had to leave Rosso and was not back allowed into the town. It was late due to the delays and as a result had to ride a hundred odd kilometres, in the dark, to St Louis to stay somewhere ok.

If I can provide any advice, stay away from this crossing, you will be taken advantage of.

It also seems that the information has been removed from ioverlander in order to get people to cross at Rosso.
ADMIN NOTE: I checked the history of the area, there hasn't been an ioverlander entry before.
