Mexico
The border crossing here is the last place in Belize to exchange your dollars for Quetzal... We changed around B$200 but later found that there were a few fake notes in the Quetzal we were given. There were no circular hologram pattern to the right of the Q$100 note on the fakes and there were more faded colours.

Exchanged some Belize dollar here. The guys at the parking lot are professional and government workers. Cane running when we drove up but were not pushy at all when we said we'll come back after immigration. Doesn't seem anyone since 2018 had any issues here...
Report Check-InAsked the guy about fake money: "Of course it's real!" I responded: "OK, then you'll have no problem I copy your ID card so I'll find you should there be problems?" He agreed and the GTQ bills we received were later accepted without problems.
Report Check-InWe decided to exchange BZ dollars for Quetzals, thankfully had no problem with fake bills.
Report Check-InChanged out maybe 60-70 USD to Quetzals because we had some left. The guys were nice and luckily we had no issues. We used the money at the ruins and if if were fake I think the military there may have spotted it.
