Description

OPEN AGAIN! Very nice campground that has been cared for recently with new pools and much care. If nobody is in the office let yourself in and pay in the am. 250mx per car. Ensenada traffic can cause a 2-hour delay so this is a great stop. 4G signal.

Latest Check-Ins

Update: This place is definitely open again. With an hour and a half traffic delay in Ensenada due to the construction its a great place to stop short of Ensenada or to stop if you're behind schedule heading east and want to avoid traveling in the dark. They have put quite a bit of money and effort into this place. If there is a rope across the entrance, simply unhook it drive over it hook it back and you can pay in the morning. we were here around Father's Day and the place is nice. The toilets were all freshly cleaned. They built a brand new pool. If you have a very tall rig you need to be careful of the trees and probably park in the area near the entrance. See new photos.

Report Check-In

We arrived via bicycle . It looked closed but the entrance was open as was the toilet and (cold) shower block. There is water if you have a filter. We camped for the night and no problem except for the noisy highway. Met the maintenance guy Jose in the morning who spoke only Spanish and was very friendly.

Report Check-In

there was a closed gate when we passed through. no hours of operation just closed.

Report Check-In

As stated by OP. A guy who came through to check several times in the night and picked trash with his kids collected 100mx. Safe night but loud highway. Better than driving at night.

This is a rest area with a very informal campground tucked in behind it. We were cycle tourists and charge 200 pesos for the three of us. The area has lots of shaded spots with places to make fires. It has toilets but no water. There is a large sheltered area that would be perfect for a cycle tourist looking to get out of the rain or in need of shade for a few hours. We set out tents up under to protect them from the due, even though there was a lot of light. It even had a big fire place which we enjoyed. We were the only ones there but there was a lot of noise from the highway 1 which runs right next to the campground.
