Something not right?

Description

Without any doubt, the best option to stay in Filandia. Here you can park your vehicle on the street right in front of the Hostel and use all the facilities, sleeping at night in your own house on wheels. We were only asked for a modest sum of COP8,000 per person. Highly recommended! The street facing the entrance door of the Hostel is a bit unleveled but the perpendicular street is almost flat and is also leaning against the hostel building. They even allowed us to bring our dog inside, during all day - not sure if it was an exception.

We did not stay here, but I want to update for others. This is a really lovely little hostel on the inside. But the street parking is not ideal/good right now. The construction is in full-swing right above the street parking. Not only is it loud, but a neighbor told us they throw debris down and could hit a vehicle parked there. And really, it’s just a congested, busy, narrow street. Alternatives: there is a hostel (called Hostal Casa Madrigal) right around the corner. Same situation: they’ll let you use the bathroom, shower, and other amenities, but you park on the street. But this street is wider and a tad quieter, and there is no construction. If you have your own bathroom, then I think the best place is the small parking pull-out on the hill above the recreation area. You’ll see it on the left if you drive past the bomberos. We ended up staying out of town at Alto Bonito and had a beautiful view there. I’ll leave a separate review for that one.

Great option in town! It’s only 7K pp to use the facilities and sleep in the car. They lock the doors at midnight. Only issue is the building across is under construction right now, so it’s full blown construction noise 2 metres away from you starting at 7:30am. I recommend parking a bit further away and coming to use facilities here. Otherwise, friendly people, free coffee, great deal!

Good location, friendly staff for organising tours. 8000 p pax to sleep in your car and use the facilities, 5000 for shower. Street lamps are bright outside so we chose to take a room for 65000, including breakfast. However, traffic was loud, ran late and started early. You can also hear everyones snoring from other rooms and footsteps.

Nos querian cobrar 8mil solo por ducharnos y nos "dejaban" estacionar en la calle

Side street is good and the hostel is 2 blocks away from the main square. Good hot shower for 5k, or 10k to use the entire structure and sleep in your car. The shower head is low (about 1,70m).

Parked in front of the hostel and took a shower for 5000COP pp. Really nice single showers with hot/warm water. They provided towels and toilet paper as well.
Nice and friendly stuff.

For those who choose this modality they will not be entitled to breakfast which is perfectly understandable! The day we left they were opening a cafe, looking very good by the way! They even allowed us to bring our dog inside, during the day - not sure if it was an exception. And the staff that was working during the time we were here was very friendly, the couple who runs the hostel was also very friendly! She is from Spain and he is Colombian.

We found this village more picturesque and more beautiful than Salento, and for sure less crowded and touristy...
