Report Check-In

Some city patrol woke us up around midnight. They didn't even bothered to get out of car just told us through speaker to leave.

Report Check-In

This was my very first camp with ioverlander away from home and I was nervous the other positive reviews were from people who were more stealth. Im in a giant, scratched up, dented, solar paneled "oh no! the Klampets are here!" converted medical transport van. Ive spent 2 nights here with zero problem.
Its a great place for dogs, even a dog park. I spent last night with my dog having a great time, and I met a lot of nice after hours neighborhood people enjoying the semi large but not huge park so enjoyed myself too, no one knew i was in my van as the parking lot is off to side.
If there are bathrooms I couldn't find them, just some porra potties.
Strange mix - woke up to uppity woman off to use tennis courts in the midst of this affluent area, but then at back of park - but IN park, theyre right there - are tents the homeless have pitched. I think thats why the police don't seem to give a rip about overnight parking. I saw an RV when I pulled in last night around 8pm but it didn't stay. If i had an RV I wouldnt worry.
If you have the time, I highly recommend going over during the day to the already posted wild camping on Ocean Ave. There are $10-12 flat rate all day parking lots where you can enjoy a lay and a 10 min walk to Venice Beach, or stay there and enjoy a laze at beautiful beach at parking lot. Great food too, I liked the Carribean eatery "Cha Cha Chicken" on Ocean Ave. I saw that some people were ticketed on Ocean Ave, this place at Westwood is only 10 min away if youre worried about that - the grass is greener (its kind of scary at night there) and the cops less meaner imo.
Thanks! Enjoy!
