Description

Free parking lot in front of the sea, right behind the Radisson Hotel. There is a security guard 24/7 from the hotel and said it was safe to stay here. We stayed two nights and it was quiet and nice, with a cold breeze from the ocean. You can get wifi from the hotel.

Not permanently closed, they are just doing construction on this section of the street (which just happens to be the section of the street that is the best to park on because there is a security guard station). I first set up just south of here where all the cars park along the water, but I was then woken up by two police at 1:30 AM who wanted to see my documents. Tried to tell me that I never paid the “traveler’s tax” when I crossed the border, and that they were going to arrest me and tow my vehicle. I told them this was fine as I was unaware of any traveler’s tax, and after a few minutes of asking for bribes they let me go. The nicer police officer also told me it was not safe to stay where I was because there are no street lights, and he advised me to move to the north side of the construction to a big parking lot for the local park. Fine for a night but not ideal

Very very loud! This is the party mile of Belize, extremly loud music everywehere , also after midnight. We left shortly after midnight.

But you can lock into the WiFi of the Radisson, ask for the code at the reception.

We parked here 5 nights at USD10 per night and 1 night outside Radisson Hotel by the sea free as they dont allow us to sleep in our camper in the car park.
We spoke to various guards in the area as well as a restaurant owner who said the area is safe. The Chinese embassy is not far off down the road. We parked 5 nights here and had a fabulous time at caye caulker.

We parked our rig for 3 nights, when we spent some days on Caye Caulker. Save and secure. 10 US-$/Night. Payed with Mastercard at hotel reception.

Decent spot. WiFi code bze54321. Rude cop on motor bike came by just to run my paperwork. Threatens to have me pulled out of van and searched. Lol. Other cops drive by all day without issue. Seams this one just wants to puff his chest. Don’t stroke the ego. Gonna stay the day and night and move on tomorrow.

Just as described, spent 2 night here. It's noisy, locals parking to party, load and unloading of boat passengers. Noisy! Very nice strong breeze...ok view. Had to disconnect the car and park on an angle to be off the road. Security said no problem. GPS took me down past Radisson Hotel main entrance where they have 2 rows of steel ball tropes and a raised walkway.... wicked to go over if your suspension is as bad as mine is. A grass area across the street at the hotel for the dog.

We stayed here for one night. Asked the security guard and he said it was ok! Nice brisa from the sea. Internet password is still the same as in the last comment.

Good, free spot. Camped here 1 night then left the van for 2 whilst at Caye Caulker. Spoke to security guard who recommended a spot in view of the security cameras. We tipped him $5belize and he was chuffed.

We left the car here for three nights when we went to the cayes. There is a security guard but it’s free, so it’s a good idea to tip the guard a bit. We had no issues and the car was still there and not broken into, so we were glad to have saved 60 USD compared to the ferry parking lot.

Stayed one night. Felt safe. Free. Asked the security guy of the Radisson Hotel if we could park near where he was, and he had no problems (Thomas was very friendly indeed). The city is not worthy coming unless you visit the cayes!

Slept there for 1 night before taking the ferry to the Cayes. We had no problem, felt safe. Police passed every hour to check if everything was ok. Some people came to ask for food or money or wash our windows but that’s what we have experienced everywhere in Belize so far. I recommend it !

Parking lot right by the sea, roadside behind the Radisson hotel. Stayed here for one night and one day, no problems, nobody bothered me. The marina is currently damaged and out of order, so the guard is only on duty during the day (until 18:30h). Well lit spot. Noisy in the morning (buses with engines running), otherwise pretty quiet. No or very little salt spray. Good location. Level tarmac, no shade. Police, locals and marina guard said it was safe. Not so sure if I'd leave my vehicle here alone over night. Free.

They don't allow overnight parking anymore. We parked furthur south on thecsame boulevard by a lighthouse. No surveillance!
